『主已蒙其目、主已頑其心、恐其目有見、恐其心有靈、恐其即回頭、令吾全其生。』

He said,“ To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest in parables; that‘ seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

Jesus said,“ I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

that‘ seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’”

Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Yahweh’s servant?You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he doesn’t listen.

Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

I said,“ Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

“ Come! Let’s return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds.

For Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.

“ I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him.

He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backsliding.“ Behold, we have come to you; for you are Yahweh our God.

I have seen his ways, and will heal him. I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near,” says Yahweh;“ and I will heal them.”

But Yahweh has not given you a heart to know, eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.

For it was of Yahweh to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.

saying,‘ Go to this people and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive.

‘ Hear this now, foolish people without understanding, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.

“ Son of man, you dwell in the middle of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don’t see, who have ears to hear, and don’t hear; for they are a rebellious house.

Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.

What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn’t obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.According as it is written,“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.”David says,“ Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumbling block, and a retribution to them.Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Always keep their backs bent.”I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

Jesus, perceiving it, said to them,“ Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened?Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?

Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.

“‘“ If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Yahweh, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.

Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back,let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

He struck many nations, and killed mighty kings,Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,and gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel, his people.Your name, Yahweh, endures forever; your renown, Yahweh, throughout all generations.For Yahweh will judge his people and have compassion on his servants.The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.They have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see.They have ears, but they can’t hear, neither is there any breath in their mouths.Those who make them will be like them, yes, everyone who trusts in them.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.

Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.
