Then Jesus told them,“ You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

頃之而爾不見我、復頃之而爾見我、以我歸父也、

我乃光臨世、使信我者弗居於暗、

爾素昏昏、今宗主而昭昭、宜效昭昭之人、

爾之上帝耶和華、宜虔共寅畏、否則使爾幽暗、顛躓於晦冥之岡、爾所望之光、變為陰翳昏黑。如爾志傲不聽、我於暗室、為爾傷心、見耶和華群民被虜、我目潸然出涕。

夜行必蹶、以其無光也、

我言以心交上帝、而行於暗昧、則妄而不真、上帝處光明、我若行於光明、則心與上帝交、上帝子耶穌基督之血、滌除諸罪、

耶穌曰、我暫偕爾、後歸遣我者、

尚有光、宜及時信光、以為光之人、耶穌言竟、往而隱、○

爾曹皆昭昭如旦晝人、我儕非昏昏如暮夜人、我不可若眾寢、必儆醒謹守、因寢者夜寢、醉者夜醉、惟我為旦晝人、宜謹守、以仁信護厥胸、以望得救為兜鍪、

晝時、我必為遣我者所為、夜至、則無能為、我在世、即世之光、

我耶和華召爾以彰仁義、我手援爾、保護爾、俾與我民立約、燭照乎異邦人。明瞽者之目、釋俘囚於獄、處幽暗者、出之於囹圄。

爾曹雅各之家、盍與我偕往、遵耶和華光明之道。

眾不之信、以賽亞復云、彼任其目瞽、心頑、免目明心悟、遷改而我醫之、

光照於暗、暗者弗識之、○有上帝所遣者名約翰、其至為光作證、使眾以之而信、約翰非光、特為光證耳、真光者、臨世照萬人者也、

曰、然則以色列人所求者、有不得乎、曰、選民得之、其餘則頑也、經云、上帝任其昏昧、目不見、耳不聞、至於今日、大闢曰、厥席成機檻以陷之、為礙石以罰之、厥目矇而勿見、厥背屈而不伸、

以色列人心頑、至於今日、其讀舊約、如帕蒙心、不知此帕、基督去之、

暗昧消而真光著、余以新命傳爾、主曾實踐、爾亦如之、人憎兄弟、言處光明、實居暗昧、人而友兄弟、則處光明、無陷罪之由、憎兄弟者、行止悉於暗昧、迷於向往、眊其眸子故也、

願彼之席、或機檻以陷之、為網罟以罹之、以報其惡兮、願厥目盲眯不明、厥體戰栗不已兮、願爾怒奮揚、爾憤震烈、以擊斯人兮、其第邱墟、無人居處兮、爾鞭予、彼加傷害、爾扑予、彼興謠諑兮、彼有愆尤、願爾加罪、無以為義兮、維彼姓氏、載於生命之書、爾其塗抹、毋與義人同錄兮。

夜既央、晝伊邇、當解行暗之衣、服光明之甲、行所當行、有如晝日、勿沉湎而蕩檢、勿冒色而邪侈、勿鬥忿而媢嫉、勿圖情欲、以任所嗜、惟主耶穌基督是佩是服、

經云、寢宜寤、死當起、基督賜爾光、慎所爾行、勿效無智、思齊有智、

惡者之途、譬彼幽冥、既顛其趾、不知窒礙。
