The crowd spoke up.“ The Law tells us that the Messiah will remain forever,” they said.“ So how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this‘ Son of Man’?”

众人回答说：“我们听见律法上有话说，基督是永存的，你怎么说‘人子必须被举起来’呢？这人子是谁呢？”

众人就回答他：“我们听见律法书上说，基督是永存的；你怎么说，人子必须被举起来呢？这人子是谁呢？”

众人问：“我们从律法书上知道，基督是永远长存的，你怎么说‘人子要被举起来’呢？这人子是谁呢？”

于是群众对他说：“我们从律法上知道基督是永远常存的，你怎么说‘人子必须被举起来’呢？这人子是谁呢？”

众人回答他：“我们从律法中听到，基督是永远长存的。你怎么说‘人子必须被举起来’呢？这‘人子’到底是谁？”

於是羣眾應時對他說：『我們從律法上聽說，基督是永遠長存的。你怎麼說人子必須被舉起呢？這人子是誰啊？』

眾人回答他：「我們從律法中聽到，基督是永遠長存的。你怎麼說『人子必須被舉起來』呢？這『人子』到底是誰？」

眾曰、我聞律云、基督永存、爾何言人子將見舉乎、此人子誰耶、

眾曰、我聞律云、基督永存、爾何言人子必見舉、人子誰乎、

眾曰、我聞律法云、基督永存、爾何言人子必見舉、此人子為誰、

眾曰：『吾聞諸律法云：「基督永留、」今汝曰：「人子必須被舉」何也？且所謂人子者、誰耶？』

The crowd spoke up,“ We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this‘ Son of Man’?”

So the crowd answered him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

The crowd responded,“ We understood from Scripture that the Messiah would live forever. How can you say the Son of Man will die? Just who is this Son of Man, anyway?”

Then the crowd replied to him,“ We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The crowd then answered Him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how is it that You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The people answered Him,“ We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The multitude therefore answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Then the crowd replied to Him,“ We have heard from the scripture that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Then the crowd responded,“ We have heard from the law that the Christ will remain forever. How can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The multitude answered him,“ We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Man?”

There will be no limit to how great his authority is. The peace he brings will never end. He will rule on David’s throne and over his kingdom. He will make the kingdom strong and secure. His rule will be based on what is fair and right. It will last forever. The Lord’ s great love will make sure that happens. He rules over all.

“‘ “A man who belongs to the family line of my servant David will be their king. All of them will have one shepherd. They will obey my laws. And they will be careful to keep my rules.They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob. That is where your people of long ago lived. They, their children, their children’s children, and their children after them will live there forever. And my servant from David’s family line will be their prince forever.

And he was given authority, glory and a kingdom. People of all nations, no matter what language they spoke, worshiped him. His authority will last forever. It will not pass away. His kingdom will never be destroyed.

The Lord has made a promise. He will not change his mind. He has said,“ You are a priest forever, just like Melchizedek.”

Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. In the same way, the Son of Man must also be lifted up.Then everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.

May the king’s name be remembered forever. May his fame last as long as the sun shines. Then all nations will be blessed because of him. They will call him blessed.Give praise to the Lord God, the God of Israel. Only he can do wonderful things.Give praise to his glorious name forever. May his glory fill the whole earth. Amen and Amen.

Jesus answered them,“ Didn’t God say in your Law,‘ I have said you are“ gods” ’?( Psalm 82:6)

Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens. Birds have nests. But the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

So one man’s sin brought guilt to all people. In the same way, one right act made people right with God. That one right act gave life to all people.

“ In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom. It will never be destroyed. And no other nation will ever take it over. It will crush all those other kingdoms. It will bring them to an end. But it will last forever.

He is the one who will build a house where I will put my Name. I will set up the throne of his kingdom. It will last forever.

His family line will continue forever. His kingdom will last as long as the sun.It will last forever like the moon, that faithful witness in the sky.”

I will make the disabled my faithful people. I will make into a strong nation those driven away from their homes. I will rule over them on Mount Zion. I will be their King from that time on and forever.

Then the authority, power and greatness of all the kingdoms on earth will be taken from them. And all they had will be given to the holy people of the Most High God. His kingdom will last forever. Every ruler will worship and obey him.’

What I’m about to tell you is true. A time is coming for me to give life. In fact, it has already begun. The dead will hear the voice of the Son of God. Those who hear it will live.The Father has life in himself. He has allowed the Son also to have life in himself.And the Father has given him the authority to judge. This is because he is the Son of Man.

What the law says, it says to those who are ruled by the law. Its purpose is to shut every mouth and make the whole world accountable to God.

Jesus went to the area of Caesarea Philippi. There he asked his disciples,“ Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

He was arrested and sentenced to death. Then he was taken away. He was cut off from this life. He was punished for the sins of my people. Who among those who were living at that time tried to stop what was happening?

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up. The people asked,“ Who is this?”

Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died. So did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”Jesus replied,“ If I bring glory to myself, my glory means nothing. You claim that my Father is your God. He is the one who brings glory to me.You do not know him. But I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him. And I obey his word.Your father Abraham was filled with joy at the thought of seeing my day. He saw it and was glad.”“ You are not even 50 years old,” they said to Jesus.“ And you have seen Abraham?”“ What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered.“ Before Abraham was born, I am!”

And I am going to be lifted up from the earth. When I am, I will bring all people to myself.”

“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”“ The son of David,” they replied.He said to them,“ Then why does David call him‘ Lord’? The Holy Spirit spoke through David himself. David said,“‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.” ’( Psalm 110:1)So if David calls him‘ Lord,’ how can he be David’s son?”

May godly people do well as long as he rules. May they have more than they need as long as the moon lasts.

This has happened so that what is written in their Law would come true. It says,‘ They hated me without any reason.’( Psalms 35:19; 69:4)
