Then the crowd responded,“ We have heard from the law that the Christ will remain forever. How can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

众人回答他：“我们从律法中听到，基督是永远长存的。你怎么说‘人子必须被举起来’呢？这‘人子’到底是谁？”

眾曰、我聞律云、基督永存、爾何言人子將見舉乎、此人子誰耶、

眾曰、我聞律云、基督永存、爾何言人子必見舉、人子誰乎、

眾曰、我聞律法云、基督永存、爾何言人子必見舉、此人子為誰、

眾曰：『吾聞諸律法云：「基督永留、」今汝曰：「人子必須被舉」何也？且所謂人子者、誰耶？』

The crowd spoke up,“ We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this‘ Son of Man’?”

The crowd spoke up.“ The Law tells us that the Messiah will remain forever,” they said.“ So how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this‘ Son of Man’?”

So the crowd answered him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

The crowd responded,“ We understood from Scripture that the Messiah would live forever. How can you say the Son of Man will die? Just who is this Son of Man, anyway?”

Then the crowd replied to him,“ We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The crowd then answered Him,“ We have heard from the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how is it that You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The people answered Him,“ We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The multitude therefore answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Then the crowd replied to Him,“ We have heard from the scripture that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can You say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

The multitude answered him,“ We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Man?”

His dominion will be vast and he will bring immeasurable prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. The LORD’s intense devotion to his people will accomplish this.

“‘ My servant David will be king over them; there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow my regulations and carefully observe my statutes.They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, in which your fathers lived; they will live in it– they and their children and their grandchildren forever. David my servant will be prince over them forever.

To him was given ruling authority, honor, and sovereignty. All peoples, nations, and language groups were serving him. His authority is eternal and will not pass away. His kingdom will not be destroyed.

The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it:“ You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

May his fame endure! May his dynasty last as long as the sun remains in the sky! May they use his name when they formulate their blessings! May all nations consider him to be favored by God!The LORD God, the God of Israel, deserves praise! He alone accomplishes amazing things!His glorious name deserves praise forevermore! May his majestic splendor fill the whole earth! We agree! We agree!

Jesus answered,“ Is it not written in your law,‘ I said, you are gods’?

Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have dens, and the birds in the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people.

In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people. It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.

He will build a house for my name, and I will make his dynasty permanent.

His dynasty will last forever. His throne will endure before me, like the sun,it will remain stable, like the moon, his throne will endure like the skies.”( Selah)

I will transform the lame into the nucleus of a new nation, and those far off into a mighty nation. The LORD will reign over them on Mount Zion, from that day forward and forevermore.”

Then the kingdom, authority, and greatness of the kingdoms under all of heaven will be delivered to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; all authorities will serve him and obey him.’

I tell you the solemn truth, a time is coming– and is now here– when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.For just as the Father has life in himself, thus he has granted the Son to have life in himself,and he has granted the Son authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

When Jesus came to the area of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,“ Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

He was led away after an unjust trial– but who even cared? Indeed, he was cut off from the land of the living; because of the rebellion of his own people he was wounded.

As he entered Jerusalem the whole city was thrown into an uproar, saying,“ Who is this?”

You aren’t greater than our father Abraham who died, are you? And the prophets died too! Who do you claim to be?”Jesus replied,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you people say,‘ He is our God.’Yet you do not know him, but I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him, and I obey his teaching.Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see my day, and he saw it and was glad.”Then the Judeans replied,“ You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?”Jesus said to them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!”

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

“ What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said,“ The son of David.”He said to them,“ How then does David by the Spirit call him‘ Lord,’ saying,‘ The Lord said to my lord,“ Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’?If David then calls him‘ Lord,’ how can he be his son?”

During his days the godly will flourish; peace will prevail as long as the moon remains in the sky.

Now this happened to fulfill the word that is written in their law,‘ They hated me without reason.’
