“ Now my soul is greatly distressed. And what should I say?‘ Father, deliver me from this hour’? No, but for this very reason I have come to this hour.

“现在我的灵魂烦扰。我该说什么呢？说‘父啊，救我脱离这时刻’吗？但我正是为了这时刻而来的。

『如今我的心極為震盪，我說甚麼好呢？父啊，救我脫離這鐘點哦！然而、是為這緣故、我才到了這鐘點的。

「現在我的靈魂煩擾。我該說什麼呢？說『父啊，救我脫離這時刻』嗎？但我正是為了這時刻而來的。

今我心憂忡、將何言乎、父歟、拯我免於斯時、然我為此而至斯時也、

今我心忡忡、何可言歟、父其救我、免斯時乎、我特為此、至斯時矣、

今我心憂忡、我將何言、父歟、求救我免於斯時乎、然我至斯時、特為此也、

今茲吾靈見擾、尚復何言。父乎！盍免我經歷此時！雖然、此事之臨、正為吾完成使命、

“ Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.

“ My soul is troubled. What should I say?‘ Father, keep me from having to go through with this’? No. This is the very reason I have come to this point in my life.

“ Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.

“ Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray,‘ Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came!

“ Now my soul is troubled. What should I say— Father, save me from this hour? But that is why I came to this hour.

“ Now My soul has become troubled; and what am I to say?‘ Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

“ Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say?‘ Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

“ Now My soul is troubled. What should I say— Father, save Me from this hour? But that is why I came to this hour.

“ Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this time?’ But I came to this time for this cause.

Jesus replied,“ The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.

Deliver me, O God, for the water has reached my neck.I sink into the deep mire where there is no solid ground; I am in deep water, and the current overpowers me.I am exhausted from shouting for help; my throat is sore; my eyes grow tired of looking for my God.

He went away a second time and prayed,“ My Father, if this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will must be done.”

And in his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.]

When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed in spirit, and testified,“ I tell you the solemn truth, one of you will betray me.”

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),

He took Peter, James, and John with him, and became very troubled and distressed.He said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay alert.”Going a little farther, he threw himself to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour would pass from him.He said,“ Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and that he would send me more than twelve legions of angels right now?How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed,“ My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

So when he came into the world, he said,“ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.“ Whole burnt offerings and sin- offerings you took no delight in.“ Then I said,‘ Here I am: I have come– it is written of me in the scroll of the book– to do your will, O God.’”When he says above,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sin- offerings you did not desire nor did you take delight in them”( which are offered according to the law),then he says,“ Here I am: I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first to establish the second.

What can I say? He has decreed and acted. I will walk slowly all my years because I am overcome with grief.

Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts, you did not arrest me. But this is your hour, and that of the power of darkness!”

For my life is filled with troubles and I am ready to enter Sheol.

Then Pilate said,“ So you are a king!” Jesus replied,“ You say that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world– to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.”

He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.

This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I am the worst of them!

So they took away the stone. Jesus looked upward and said,“ Father, I thank you that you have listened to me.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the people who had come with her weeping, he was intensely moved in spirit and greatly distressed.He asked,“ Where have you laid him?” They replied,“ Lord, come and see.”Jesus wept.

“ I have come to bring fire on the earth– and how I wish it were already kindled!I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished!
