Then the Pharisees said to each other,“ There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!”

法利赛人彼此议论说：“我们真是枉费心思！你看，整个世界都跟着祂跑了。”

于是法利赛人彼此说：“你们看，你们都是徒劳无功，世人都去跟随他了！”

于是法利赛人互相说：“可见你们真没用！看，这世界都跟随他去了。”

法利賽人彼此說：「看哪，你們是徒勞無益，世人都隨從他去了。」

法利賽人彼此說：「你們看，你們一事無成，世人都隨着他去了。」

法利賽人彼此說：「你們看，你們一事無成，世人都隨着他去了。」

法利賽人彼此議論說：「我們真是枉費心思！你看，整個世界都跟著祂跑了。」

於是法利賽人彼此說：“你們看，你們都是徒勞無功，世人都去跟隨他了！”

於是法利賽人就彼此說：『可見你們是無濟於事的；你看，世界都去跟着他了！』

於是法利賽人互相說：「可見你們真沒用！看，這世界都跟隨他去了。」

法利賽人相語曰、爾謀一無所濟、舉世皆從之矣、○

𠵽唎㘔人相語曰、爾曹所謀無益、豈不見舉世從之乎、○

法利賽人相語曰、豈不見爾曹所謀、全無益乎、舉世皆從之矣、○

法利塞人因相語曰：『舉世風從、吾其休矣！』

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ This isn’t getting us anywhere. Look how the whole world is following him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”

Then the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look, the world has gone after him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you are not accomplishing anything; look, the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Behold how ye prevail nothing; lo, the world is gone after him.

Then the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look— the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

Thus the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”

Not finding them there, they dragged out Jason and some of the other believers instead and took them before the city council.“ Paul and Silas have caused trouble all over the world,” they shouted,“ and now they are here disturbing our city, too.

The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to him. All the families of the nations will bow down before him.

So John’s disciples came to him and said,“ Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.”

“ What should we do with these men?” they asked each other.“ We can’t deny that they have performed a miraculous sign, and everybody in Jerusalem knows about it.But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.”

The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting,“ Praise God for the Son of David.” But the leaders were indignant.

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.If we allow him to go on like this, soon everyone will believe in him. Then the Roman army will come and destroy both our Temple and our nation.”Caiaphas, who was high priest at that time, said,“ You don’t know what you’re talking about!You don’t realize that it’s better for you that one man should die for the people than for the whole nation to be destroyed.”

After that, he taught daily in the Temple, but the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the other leaders of the people began planning how to kill him.But they could think of nothing, because all the people hung on every word he said.

Then they brought the apostles before the high council, where the high priest confronted them.“ We gave you strict orders never again to teach in this man’s name!” he said.“ Instead, you have filled all Jerusalem with your teaching about him, and you want to make us responsible for his death!”

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one— as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit!

Listen to this, all you people! Pay attention, everyone in the world!
