法利塞人因相語曰：『舉世風從、吾其休矣！』

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ This isn’t getting us anywhere. Look how the whole world is following him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”

Then the Pharisees said to each other,“ There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!”

Then the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look, the world has gone after him!”

So the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you are not accomplishing anything; look, the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Behold how ye prevail nothing; lo, the world is gone after him.

Then the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look— the world has gone after Him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

Thus the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some other believers before the city officials, shouting:“ These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here, (niv)

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, (niv)

They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan— the one you testified about— look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.” (niv)

“ What are we going to do with these men?” they asked.“ Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it.But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.” (niv)

But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts,“ Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant. (niv)

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up,“ You know nothing at all!You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.” (niv)

Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words. (niv)

The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest.“ We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said.“ Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” (niv)

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (niv)

In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit. (niv)
