And we are witnesses of these events, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Then John testified,“ I saw the Spirit descending like a dove from heaven, and it remained on him.

They will proclaim the power of your awesome acts! I will declare your great deeds!They will talk about the fame of your great kindness, and sing about your justice.

And the person who saw it has testified( and his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth), so that you also may believe.

So the Pharisees objected,“ You testify about yourself; your testimony is not true!”Jesus answered,“ Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you people do not know where I came from or where I am going.

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father– the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father– he will testify about me,and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

Now a large crowd of Judeans learned that Jesus was there, and so they came not only because of him but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead.

I knew that you always listen to me, but I said this for the sake of the crowd standing around here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

who then testified to everything that he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony about Jesus Christ.

If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because this is the testimony of God that he has testified concerning his Son.( The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

Then many of the people, who had come with Mary and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in him.But some of them went to the Pharisees and reported to them what Jesus had done.

I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.”

Then the people who were with Mary in the house consoling her saw her get up quickly and go out. They followed her, because they thought she was going to the tomb to weep there.

Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him,“ Who are you?”
