Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word.

beginning from the baptism of John until the day He was taken up from us— from among these, it is necessary that one become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

And John testified,“ I watched the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He rested on Him.

They will proclaim the power of Your awe-inspiring acts, and I will declare Your greatness.They will give a testimony of Your great goodness and will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.

He who saw this has testified so that you also may believe. His testimony is true, and he knows he is telling the truth.

So the Pharisees said to Him,“ You are testifying about Yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”“ Even if I testify about Myself,” Jesus replied,“ My testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I’m going. But you don’t know where I come from or where I’m going.

“ When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— He will testify about Me.You also will testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Then a large crowd of the Jews learned He was there. They came not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus the one He had raised from the dead.

I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing here I said this, so they may believe You sent Me.”

who testified to God’s word and to the testimony about Jesus Christ, in all he saw.

If we accept the testimony of men, God’s testimony is greater, because it is God’s testimony that He has given about His Son.( The one who believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony God has given about His Son.)And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life.

Therefore, many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what He did believed in Him.But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

I have seen and testified that He is the Son of God!”

The Jews who were with her in the house consoling her saw that Mary got up quickly and went out. So they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to cry there.

This is John’s testimony when the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him,“ Who are you?”
