约翰又作见证说：“我曾看见圣灵，好像鸽子从天上降下来，停留在他的身上。

他们要述说你所行可畏的事的能力，我也要宣扬你的伟大。他们要传述你可记念、至善的名，也要歌唱你的公义。

那看见这事的人已经作证了，他的见证是真实的，他也知道自己所说的是实在的，使你们也相信。

法利赛人对他说：“你为自己作证，你的见证不是真实的。”耶稣回答：“即使我为自己作证，我的见证还是真实的，因为我知道我从哪里来，往哪里去，但你们却不知道我从哪里来，往哪里去。

“我从父那里要差来给你们的保惠师，就是从父那里出来的真理的灵，他来到的时候，要为我作见证。你们也要作见证，因为从开始你们就是跟我在一起的。”

有一大群犹太人知道耶稣在那里，就都来了，然而他们不单是为了耶稣的缘故，也是要看看耶稣使他从死人中复活的拉撒路。

我知道你常常听我，但我说这话，是为了周围站着的群众，叫他们信是你差了我来。”

约翰把神的道，和耶稣基督的见证，凡是自己所看见的，都见证出来了。

我们若接受人的见证，神的见证就更强而有力了，因为这是神为他的儿子作的见证。信神的儿子的，就有这见证在他心里；不信神的，就是把神当作说谎的，因为他不信神为他儿子所作的见证。这见证就是神已经把永远的生命赐给我们，这生命是在他儿子里面的。凡有神儿子的，就有生命；没有神儿子的，就没有生命。

有许多到马利亚那里去的犹太人，看见了耶稣所作的事，就信了他。但他们中间有些人到法利赛人那里去，把耶稣所作的事都告诉他们。

我看见了，就作见证说：‘这就是神的儿子。’”

那些在房子里和马利亚在一起安慰她的犹太人，见她匆忙地起来出去，就跟着她，以为她要到坟墓那里去哭。
