各執椶樹枝出而迎之、呼曰：『賀三納兮義塞王！』奉主名而來兮、堪頌揚！』

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,“ Hosanna!”“ Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”“ Blessed is the king of Israel!”

So they took branches from palm trees and went out to meet him. They shouted,“ Hosanna!”“ Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”( Psalm 118:25, 26)“ Blessed is the king of Israel!”

Then Nathanael exclaimed,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God— the King of Israel!”

So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on.As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him.When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.“ Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,“ Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!”The entire city of Jerusalem was in an uproar as he entered.“ Who is this?” they asked.And the crowds replied,“ It’s Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Many in the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of him, and others spread leafy branches they had cut in the fields.Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,“ Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!”

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things.Praise his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

But afterward the people will return and devote themselves to the Lord their God and to David’s descendant, their king. In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the Lord and of his goodness.

And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.

For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say,‘ Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

“ Away with him,” they yelled.“ Away with him! Crucify him!”“ What? Crucify your king?” Pilate asked.“ We have no king but Caesar,” the leading priests shouted back.

On the first day gather branches from magnificent trees— palm fronds, boughs from leafy trees, and willows that grow by the streams. Then celebrate with joy before the Lord your God for seven days.

This is what the Lord says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.

“ Don’t be afraid, people of Jerusalem. Look, your King is coming, riding on a donkey’s colt.”

And Pilate posted a sign on the cross that read,“ Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”The place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, so that many people could read it.Then the leading priests objected and said to Pilate,“ Change it from‘ The King of the Jews’ to‘ He said, I am King of the Jews.’”Pilate replied,“ No, what I have written, I have written.”

On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

For the Lord will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the Lord himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster.
