犹太人的逾越节快到了，耶稣上耶路撒冷去。

逾越节前六天，耶稣来到拉撒路所在的伯大尼，就是他使拉撒路从死人中复活的地方。

那时犹太人的逾越节快到了。

实际上，如果山羊和公牛的血，以及母牛犊的灰，洒在那些污秽的人身上，能使他们分别为圣、肉身洁净，更何况基督的血呢！基督藉着永恒的圣灵，将自己毫无瑕疵地献给神，他的血难道不能洁净我们的良心脱离致死的行为，使我们事奉永生的神吗？

过两天就是逾越节和除酵节了。祭司长们和经文士们在图谋怎样用诡计拘捕耶稣，把他杀掉。

他们把耶稣从该亚法那里带到总督府，那时是清晨。他们为了不被污秽，能吃逾越节的晚餐，就没有进入总督府。

耶和华啊，我要洗净双手表明清白，还要绕着你的祭坛而行，

你们要亲近神，神就会亲近你们。你们这些罪人哪，当使你们的手洁净！心怀二意的人哪，当使你们的心纯洁！

逾越节前，耶稣知道他离开这世界回到父那里去的时候到了。他一直爱世界上那些属自己的人，并且爱他们到底。

你们上去过节吧，我现在不上去，因为我的时候还没有到。”说了这些话，耶稣仍然留在加利利地区。不过当他的弟弟们上去过节以后，他也上去了，但没有公开，像是悄悄去的。

这样，一个人应当省察自己，然后才吃这饼、喝这杯。

这些事以后，犹太人的一个节日到了，耶稣就上耶路撒冷去。
