自以为有智慧的人，还不如愚人有希望。

亚那和该亚法当大祭司。当时，撒迦利亚的儿子约翰住在旷野，上帝向他说话。

你们不要自欺。如果你们有人自以为在世上有智慧，他应当变成愚人，好成为真正的智者。因为这世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如圣经上说：“上帝使智者中了自己的诡计。”

当然我们也跟成熟的人谈论智慧，不过并非这个世代的智慧，也不是那些在世上当权、将来要衰亡之人的智慧。

哪有官长和法利赛人信祂呢？这群不明白律法的民众该受咒诅！”

那些善恶不分、黑白颠倒、甜苦不辨的人有祸了！那些自以为聪明、睿智的人有祸了！那些以豪饮称霸、善于调酒的人有祸了！他们贪赃枉法，坑害无辜。

这个世代所谓的智者、学者、雄辩家在哪里？上帝岂不是把这世上的智慧都变成愚昧了吗？
