於是祭司長和法利賽人召集了議院的會，說：『這個人行着許多神迹，我們怎麼辦呢？

司祭諸長及法利塞人、乃召集會議、僉曰：『斯人多行異蹟、吾輩將何以處之？

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said,“ What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and were saying,“ What are we going to do since this man is doing many signs?

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

So the chief priests and the Pharisees called the council together and said,“ What are we doing? For this man is performing many miraculous signs.

那時祭司長和民間的長老聚集在稱為該亞法的大祭司院子裏，

耶穌在加利利的迦拿行了這頭一件神迹、來顯出他的榮耀；他的門徒就信了他。

於是法利賽人就彼此說：『可見你們是無濟於事的；你看，世界都去跟着他了！』

但是我告訴你們：凡向弟兄發怒的，必須擔受判罰；凡罵弟兄為「飯桶」的，必須擔受議院的判罰；凡罵弟兄為「傻瓜」的，必須擔受地獄的火。

地上君王列陣站着，眾人君一同陰謀，要敵擋永恆主，敵擋他所膏立的，說：『我們來掙開他們的捆綁，來脫掉他們的繩索吧。』那坐在天上的必冷笑；永恆主必嗤笑他們。

到第二天、民間的議員、長老和經學士、就在耶路撒冷聚集。大祭司亞拿、和該亞法、約拿單、亞力山大、以及所有屬於大祭司家族的人、都在座。

祭司長和法利賽人早已發了命令：若有人知道耶穌在哪裏，就該報告，他們好去逮他。

過兩天就是逾越節和除酵節了；祭司長和經學士直想法子要怎樣用詭詐抓住耶穌，來殺他。

他們聽了這話，天未亮就進殿去教訓人。大祭司和同着他的人就來，叫齊了議院和以色列人的全體耆老，差遣人到監獄裏，要把使徒提出來。

守殿官和祭司長聽見了這些報告的話，心裏很為難，不知道事情要怎樣變化。

祭司長和經學士直想法子要怎樣殺掉耶穌；他們是懼怕民眾的。

到了早晨，眾祭司長和民間的長老商議怎樣陷害耶穌、來治死他；就把他捆住，帶走，送交給總督彼拉多。

希律和本丟彼拉多、同外國人和以色列眾族之民、真地在這城裏聚集，攻打你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，要作你手和你計畫所豫定必成的一切事。

說：『這些人我們要怎麼辦呢？有一個眾所週知的神迹藉着他們行了出來，這對住耶路撒冷的人都很顯然，我們不能否認。但是為要避免這事越發散布在民間，我們總要恐嚇他們，叫他們不可再奉這個名對人講論。』
