Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said,“ What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and were saying,“ What are we going to do since this man is doing many signs?

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

那时，祭司长和民间的长老正聚集在大祭司该亚法的府里，

这是耶稣第一次行神迹，是在加利利的迦拿行的，彰显了祂的荣耀，门徒都信了祂。

法利赛人彼此议论说：“我们真是枉费心思！你看，整个世界都跟着祂跑了。”

但我告诉你们，凡无缘无故向弟兄发怒的，要受审判；凡骂弟兄是白痴的，要受公会的审判；凡骂弟兄是笨蛋的，难逃地狱的火。

世上的君王一同行动，官长聚集商议，要抵挡耶和华和祂所膏立的王。他们说：“让我们挣断他们的锁链，脱去他们的捆索！”坐在天上宝座上的主必笑他们，祂必嘲笑他们。

第二天，官长、长老和律法教师都聚集在耶路撒冷，大祭司亚那，以及该亚法、约翰、亚历山大和大祭司的许多亲族都在场。

当时祭司长和法利赛人早已下令，如果有人知道耶稣在哪里，就来报告，他们好去抓祂。

再过两天就是逾越节和除酵节，祭司长和律法教师正暗暗地找机会拘捕、杀害耶稣。

使徒遵从命令，在黎明的时候来到圣殿开始教导众人。大祭司和他的同党召集了所有公会的人和以色列的众长老，然后派人去监狱把使徒押来受审。

圣殿护卫长和祭司长听后，都很困扰，不知道是怎么回事。

祭司长和律法教师因为害怕百姓，便密谋如何杀害耶稣。

到了清晨，众祭司长和民间的长老商定要处死耶稣。他们把祂绑起来，押送到总督彼拉多那里。

“果然如此，希律和本丢·彼拉多、外族人和以色列人都聚集在这城里，要对抗你膏立的圣子耶稣，然而他们所做的只不过是你凭自己的能力和旨意所预定的。

“我们该怎样处置这两个人呢？整个耶路撒冷的居民都知道他们行了一个神迹，我们无法否认。为了避免这件事传得更广，我们必须警告他们以后不许再对任何人传讲耶稣的事。”
