Then he got on the bed again. He lay down on the boy once more. The boy sneezed seven times. After that, he opened his eyes.Elisha sent for Gehazi. He said to him,“ Go and get the woman from Shunem.” So he did. When she came, Elisha said,“ Take your son.”

Then he lay down on the boy three times. He cried out to the Lord. He said,“ Lord my God, give this boy’s life back to him!”The Lord answered Elijah’s prayer. He gave the boy’s life back to him. So the boy lived.

Peter sent them all out of the room. Then he got down on his knees and prayed. He turned toward the dead woman. He said,“ Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes. When she saw Peter, she sat up.

Then he went up and touched the coffin. Those carrying it stood still. Jesus said,“ Young man, I say to you, get up!”The dead man sat up and began to talk. Then Jesus gave him back to his mother.

“ Aeneas,” Peter said to him,“ Jesus Christ heals you. Get up! Roll up your mat!” So Aeneas got up right away.

When Peter saw this, he said,“ Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us? It’s not as if we’ve made this man walk by our own power or godliness.

They were terrified. They asked each other,“ Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Peter said,“ I don’t have any silver or gold. But I’ll give you what I do have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.”
