耶穌聽見後卻說：「這病不至於死，而是為了神的榮耀，為要使神的兒子藉此得榮耀。」

耶穌對她說：「我不是對你說過，你若信就必看見神的榮耀嗎？」

耶穌回答：「既不是這人犯了罪，也不是他的父母，而是要在他身上顯出神的作為來。

你們若為基督的名受辱罵是有福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，在你們身上。

為要使人都尊敬子，如同尊敬父一樣。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬差子來的父。

猶大出去後，耶穌說：「如今人子得了榮耀，神在人子身上也得了榮耀。如果神因人子得了榮耀，神也要因自己榮耀人子，並且要立刻榮耀他。

耶穌回答：「我若榮耀自己，我的榮耀就算不了甚麼；榮耀我的是我的父，就是你們所說的你們的神。

父啊，現在求你使我在你面前得榮耀，就是在未有世界以前，我同你享有的榮耀。

就進到裏面，對他們說：「為甚麼大吵大哭呢？孩子不是死了，是睡着了。」他們就嘲笑耶穌。耶穌把他們都趕出去，帶着孩子的父母和跟隨的人進了孩子所在的地方，就拉着孩子的手，對她說：「大利大，古米！」翻出來就是說：「女孩，我吩咐你，起來！」那女孩子立刻起來走動－她已經十二歲了；他們就非常驚奇。

這是耶穌所行的第一個神蹟，是在加利利的迦拿行的，顯出了他的榮耀來，他的門徒就信他了。

父啊，願你榮耀你的名！」於是有聲音從天上來，說：「我已經榮耀了我的名，還要再榮耀。」

這就是我所切慕、所盼望的：沒有一事能使我羞愧；反倒凡事坦然無懼，無論是生是死，總要讓基督在我身上照常顯大。

耶穌說了這些話，就舉目望天，說：「父啊，時候到了，願你榮耀你的兒子，使兒子也榮耀你；

你們也因着他而信那使他從死人中復活、又給他榮耀的神，好讓你們的信心和盼望都在於神。

那麼，我再問，他們失足是要他們跌倒嗎？絕對不是！因他們的過犯，救恩反而臨到外邦人，要激起他們嫉妒的心。

更靠着耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，歸榮耀稱讚給神。

若有人講道，他要按着神的聖言講；若有人服事，他要按着神所賜的力量服事，好讓神在凡事上因耶穌基督得榮耀。願榮耀和權能都歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

凡是我的都是你的，你的也是我的，並且我因他們得了榮耀。

於是法利賽人第二次叫了那以前失明的人來，對他說：「你要將榮耀歸給神，我們知道這人是個罪人。」
