Jesus said,“ Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, replied,“ Lord, by this time the body will have a bad smell, because he has been buried four days.”

耶稣说：“你们把石头挪开。”那死人的姐姐马大对他说：“主啊，他现在必是臭了，因为他死了已经四天了。”

耶稣说：“把石头挪开。”死者的姐姐玛大对祂说：“主啊，他死了四天了，已经臭了。”

耶稣说：“把这块石头挪开！”死者的姊姊马大对他说：“主啊，已经四天了，他必定臭了。”

耶稣吩咐：“把石头挪开。”死者的姐姐玛妲说：“主啊，他已经发臭了，因为是第四天了。”

耶穌說：「你們把石頭挪開。」那死人的姊姊馬大對他說：「主啊，他現在必是臭了，因為他死了已經四天了。」

耶穌說：「把石頭挪開！」那死者的姐姐馬大對他說：「主啊，他現在必定臭了，因為他已經死了四天了。」

耶穌吩咐：「把石頭挪開。」死者的姐姐瑪妲說：「主啊，他已經發臭了，因為是第四天了。」

耶穌曰、去其石、死者之姊妹馬大曰、主、今已臭矣、蓋四日也、

耶穌曰、去石、死者之姊妹馬大曰、主、今已四日、尸臭矣、

耶穌曰、去石、死者之妹瑪他曰、主、今已四日、屍必臭矣、

耶穌曰：『移石！』亡者之妹瑪大曰：『主乎、葬已四日、屍其臭矣！』

“ Take away the stone,” he said.“ But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man,“ by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

“ Take away the stone,” he said.“ But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man,“ by this time there is a bad smell. Lazarus has been in the tomb for four days.”

Jesus said,“ Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him,“ Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.”

“ Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested,“ Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”

“ Remove the stone,” Jesus said. Martha, the dead man’s sister, told him,“ Lord, there is already a stench because he has been dead four days.”

Jesus* said,“ Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased,* said to Him,“ Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

Jesus said,“ Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him,“ Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been dead four days.

“ Remove the stone,” Jesus said. Martha, the dead man’s sister, told Him,“ Lord, he’s already decaying. It’s been four days.”

Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been[ dead] four days.

Jesus said,“ Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him,“ Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had been in the tomb four days already.

Certainly a man cannot rescue his brother; he cannot pay God an adequate ransom price

They had been asking each other,“ Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return.”

They will travel to Sheol like sheep, with death as their shepherd. The godly will rule over them when the day of vindication dawns; Sheol will consume their bodies and they will no longer live in impressive houses.

For David, after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation, died, was buried with his ancestors, and experienced decay,

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, nor permit your Holy One to experience decay.

“ I am a temporary settler among you. Grant me ownership of a burial site among you so that I may bury my dead.”

so that he might continue to live forever and not experience death.
