But some of them said,“ Couldn’t he who opened the blind man’s eyes also have kept this man from dying?”

其中有人说：“他既然开了瞎子的眼睛，岂不能叫这人不死吗？”

其中也有人说：“祂既然能医好瞎眼的人，难道不能叫这个人不死吗？”

他们中间有人说：“他既然开了瞎子的眼睛，难道不能使这个人不死吗？”

但是其中有些人说：“这个人既然开了瞎子的眼睛，难道就不能使拉撒路不死吗？”

其中有人說：「他既然開了瞎子的眼睛，豈不能叫這人不死嗎？」

其中有人說：「他既然開了盲人的眼睛，難道不能叫這人不死嗎？」

其中有人說：「他既然開了盲人的眼睛，難道不能叫這人不死嗎？」

有曰、彼曾明瞽者之目、豈不能使此人不死乎、

或曰：『彼曾啟盲者之目矣、獨不能令此人不死乎？』

But some of them said,“ Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”

But some of them said,“ Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?”

But some said,“ This man healed a blind man. Couldn’t he have kept Lazarus from dying?”

But some of them said,“ Could this man, who opened the eyes of the man who was blind, not have also kept this man from dying?”

And some of them said,“ Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”

But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?

But some of them said,“ Couldn’t He who opened the blind man’s eyes also have kept this man from dying?”

And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

But some of them said,“ This is the man who caused the blind man to see! Couldn’t he have done something to keep Lazarus from dying?”

Some of them said,“ Couldn’t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”

After he said these things he spit on the ground, made some mud from the saliva, and spread the mud on his eyes.“ Go,” he told him,“ wash in the pool of Siloam”( which means“ Sent”). So he left, washed, and came back seeing.

and saying,“ You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”In the same way the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him and said,“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

The people stood watching, and even the leaders were scoffing:“ He saved others; let him save himself if this is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One!”

Then one of the criminals hanging there began to yell insults at him:“ Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”

Let the Messiah, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe.” Even those who were crucified with him taunted him.

Then Martha said to Jesus,“ Lord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.

As soon as Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and told him,“ Lord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died!”

They spoke against God, saying,“ Is God able to provide food in the wilderness?Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out; torrents overflowed. But can he also provide bread or furnish meat for his people?”
