耶穌自己裡面再次感到憤怒，來到墳墓那裡。那墳墓是個洞穴，有一塊石頭放置在洞口。

「現在我的靈魂煩擾。我該說什麼呢？說『父啊，救我脫離這時刻』嗎？但我正是為了這時刻而來的。

要與快樂的人一同快樂；與哀哭的人一同哀哭。

約瑟的愛弟之情升騰，他就急忙找個地方去哭。於是他進到自己的內室，在那裡哭了一場。他洗了臉出來，克制住自己，說：「擺飯吧！」

耶穌憤怒地環視他們，又為他們心裡剛硬而憂傷，就對那個人說：「伸出手來！」他一伸出來，手就復原了。

因為我們的大祭司不是不能同情我們的種種軟弱，而是在各方面照著與我們相同的樣式受過試探，只是沒有犯罪。

基督在他肉身的日子裡，曾經用強烈的呼號和淚水，向能救他脫離死亡的那一位獻上了祈禱和懇求，就因著他的虔誠蒙了垂聽。他雖然是兒子，還是從他所受的苦難中，學了順從。

約瑟在所有侍立左右的人面前，再也克制不住自己，大聲喊：「所有人都離開我出去！」當約瑟向兄弟們表明自己是誰時，沒有人站在他身邊。他就放聲大哭；埃及人聽到了，法老一家也聽到了這事。約瑟對他的兄弟們說：「我是約瑟！我的父親還活著嗎？」他的兄弟們卻不能回答他，因為他們在他面前都很惶恐。約瑟對他的兄弟們說：「請你們靠近我一些！」他們就靠近一些。他說：「我是你們的兄弟約瑟，就是被你們賣到埃及的約瑟。現在，不要因你們把我賣到這裡而自憂自恨；要知道，是神在你們之前派遣了我，為要拯救生命。

耶穌回答他們，說：「唉，這個不信的世代！我還要和你們在一起多久呢？我還要容忍你們多久呢？把孩子帶到我這裡來吧！」

他帶了彼得、雅各和約翰一起去。這時候，他開始憂懼起來，極其難過，對他們說：「我的靈魂很憂傷，幾乎要死。你們留在這裡，要警醒。」耶穌稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說，如果有可能，讓那時刻離開他。

說完這些話，耶穌靈裡煩擾，就指名說：「我確確實實地告訴你們：你們當中有一個人要出賣我。」
