耶穌又再心裡激動，來到墳墓前面。那墳墓是一個洞穴，洞口有塊石頭堵住。

“我現在心裡煩亂，我應該說甚麼呢？說‘父啊，救我脫離這時刻’嗎？然而我正是為了這個緣故來的，要面對這時刻。

要與喜樂的人一同喜樂，與哀哭的人一同哀哭。

約瑟愛弟弟之情激動起來，就急忙去找個可哭的地方。於是他進了自己的內室，在那裡哭了一陣。他洗了面，然後出來，抑制著自己的感情，吩咐人說：“開飯吧。”

耶穌怒目環視他們，因他們的心剛硬而難過，就對那人說：“伸出手來！”他把手一伸，手就復原了。

因為我們的大祭司並不是不能同情我們的軟弱，他像我們一樣，也曾在各方面受過試探，只是他沒有犯罪。

基督在世的時候，曾經流淚大聲禱告懇求那位能救他脫離死亡的神；因著他的敬虔，就蒙了應允。他雖然是兒子，還是因著所受的苦難學會了順從。

約瑟在所有侍立在他左右的人面前，不能自制，就喊叫說：“叫各人都離開我出去。”這樣，約瑟向他的兄弟們表白自己身份的時候，沒有別人在場。於是他放聲大哭，埃及人聽到了；法老一家也聽聞這事。約瑟對他的兄弟們說：“我就是約瑟，我的父親還在嗎？”他的兄弟們不能回答他，因為他們在約瑟面前都非常驚惶。約瑟對他的兄弟們說：“請你們上前來。”他們就上前去。他說：“我就是被你們賣到埃及的弟弟約瑟。現在你們不要因為把我賣到這裡來，而自憂自責。這原是神差派我在你們以先來這裡，為要保全性命。

耶穌回答他們：“唉！不信的世代啊！我跟你們在一起到幾時呢？我要忍受你們到幾時呢？把他帶到我這裡來吧。”

他帶了彼得、雅各、約翰一起去，就驚懼起來，非常難過。於是對他們說：“我的心靈痛苦得快要死了；你們要留在這裡，也要警醒。”耶穌稍往前走，俯伏在地上禱告：如果可能的話，使那時刻不要臨到他。

耶穌說了這話，心裡很難過，就明明地說：“我實實在在告訴你們，你們中間有一個人要出賣我。”
