耶稣又再心里激动，来到坟墓前面。那坟墓是一个洞穴，洞口有块石头堵住。

“我现在心里烦乱，我应该说什么呢？说‘父啊，救我脱离这时刻’吗？然而我正是为了这个缘故来的，要面对这时刻。

要与喜乐的人一同喜乐，与哀哭的人一同哀哭。

约瑟爱弟弟之情激动起来，就急忙去找个可哭的地方。于是他进了自己的内室，在那里哭了一阵。他洗了面，然后出来，抑制着自己的感情，吩咐人说：“开饭吧。”

耶稣怒目环视他们，因他们的心刚硬而难过，就对那人说：“伸出手来！”他把手一伸，手就复原了。

因为我们的大祭司并不是不能同情我们的软弱，他像我们一样，也曾在各方面受过试探，只是他没有犯罪。

基督在世的时候，曾经流泪大声祷告恳求那位能救他脱离死亡的神；因着他的敬虔，就蒙了应允。他虽然是儿子，还是因着所受的苦难学会了顺从。

约瑟在所有侍立在他左右的人面前，不能自制，就喊叫说：“叫各人都离开我出去。”这样，约瑟向他的兄弟们表白自己身份的时候，没有别人在场。于是他放声大哭，埃及人听到了；法老一家也听闻这事。约瑟对他的兄弟们说：“我就是约瑟，我的父亲还在吗？”他的兄弟们不能回答他，因为他们在约瑟面前都非常惊惶。约瑟对他的兄弟们说：“请你们上前来。”他们就上前去。他说：“我就是被你们卖到埃及的弟弟约瑟。现在你们不要因为把我卖到这里来，而自忧自责。这原是神差派我在你们以先来这里，为要保全性命。

耶稣回答他们：“唉！不信的世代啊！我跟你们在一起到几时呢？我要忍受你们到几时呢？把他带到我这里来吧。”

他带了彼得、雅各、约翰一起去，就惊惧起来，非常难过。于是对他们说：“我的心灵痛苦得快要死了；你们要留在这里，也要警醒。”耶稣稍往前走，俯伏在地上祷告：如果可能的话，使那时刻不要临到他。

耶稣说了这话，心里很难过，就明明地说：“我实实在在告诉你们，你们中间有一个人要出卖我。”
