故遣人就耶穌曰、主所愛者病矣、

姊妹遣人往告耶穌曰、主、爾所愛者病矣、

姊若妹因遣人告耶穌曰：『主所寵者病矣！』

So the sisters sent word to Jesus,“ Lord, the one you love is sick.”

So the sisters sent a message to Jesus.“ Lord,” they told him,“ the one you love is sick.”

So the sisters sent to him, saying,“ Lord, he whom you love is ill.”

So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him,“ Lord, your dear friend is very sick.”

So the sisters sent a message to him:“ Lord, the one you love is sick.”

So the sisters sent word to Him, saying,“ Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying,“ Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

The sisters therefore sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

So the sisters sent a message to Him:“ Lord, the one You love is sick.”

Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

The sisters therefore sent to him, saying,“ Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.”

( Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.)

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honor.

After he said this, he added,“ Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep. But I am going there to awaken him.”

“ For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son he accepts.”Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

Thus the people who had come to mourn said,“ Look how much he loved him!”

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much–

God said,“ Take your son– your only son, whom you love, Isaac– and go to the land of Moriah! Offer him up there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will indicate to you.”

Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up– and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Now a certain man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived.

Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill.In fact he became so ill that he nearly died. But God showed mercy to him– and not to him only, but also to me– so that I would not have grief on top of grief.
