And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.The one who has the Son has life. The one who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.

Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.

And just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.

This is the will of him who sent me: that I should lose none of those he has given me but should raise them up on the last day.For this is the will of my Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him will have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Your dead will live; their bodies will rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust! For you will be covered with the morning dew, and the earth will bring out the departed spirits.

But I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the end he will stand on the dust.Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet I will see God in my flesh.I will see him myself; my eyes will look at him, and not as a stranger. My heart longs within me.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

“ I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them.“ No one who comes to me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in me will ever be thirsty again.

The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.

These all died in faith, although they had not received the things that were promised. But they saw them from a distance, greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.Now those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.If they were thinking about where they came from, they would have had an opportunity to return.But they now desire a better place— a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live too.

For we know that if our earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands.Indeed, we groan in this tent, desiring to put on our heavenly dwelling,since, when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life.Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.So we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.For we walk by faith, not by sight.In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,

Lord, by such things people live, and in every one of them my spirit finds life; you have restored me to health and let me live.

You killed the source of life, whom God raised from the dead; we are witnesses of this.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us—

For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.

I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ— which is far better—

For the wellspring of life is with you. By means of your light we see light.

If by the one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the overflow of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.So then, as through one trespass there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is justification leading to life for everyone.For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

And he said to him,“ Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Both the Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” Let anyone who hears, say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely.

Jesus told him,“ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works.Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power;sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.Like the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; like the man of heaven, so are those who are of heaven.And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven.What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can corruption inherit incorruption.Listen, I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality.When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting?The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Those, then, who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.

As it is written: I have made you the father of many nations— in the presence of the God in whom he believed, the one who gives life to the dead and calls things into existence that do not exist.

Otherwise what will they do who are being baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, then why are people baptized for them?

But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man.For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; afterward, at his coming, those who belong to Christ.Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he abolishes all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet.The last enemy to be abolished is death.

For we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you.
