Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?

And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.For I also am a man set under authority, having under myself soldiers: and I say to this one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.And when Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned and said unto the multitude that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole.

And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? thou art come unto me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son!

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.Jesus therefore said unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will in no wise believe.The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher.But Jesus hearing it, answered him, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made whole.And when he came to the house, he suffered not any man to enter in with him, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father of the maiden and her mother.And all were weeping, and bewailing her: but he said, Weep not; for she is not dead, but sleepeth.And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.But he, taking her by the hand, called, saying, Maiden, arise.And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately: and he commanded that something be given her to eat.

Yea, they spake against God; They said, Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?

And they turned again and tempted God, And provoked the Holy One of Israel.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.And he came nigh and touched the bier: and the bearers stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
