But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice.

I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.

“ For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep.I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak. But I will destroy those who are fat and powerful. I will feed them, yes— feed them justice!

I will say to the prisoners,‘ Come out in freedom,’ and to those in darkness,‘ Come into the light.’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare.They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the Lord in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside cool waters.

He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

“ I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,

I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.

The Lord replied to Moses,“ I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”

They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.

O my darling, lingering in the gardens, your companions are fortunate to hear your voice. Let me hear it, too!

“ Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph’s descendants like a flock. O God, enthroned above the cherubim, display your radiant glory

“ In those coming days,” says the Lord,“ the people of Israel will return home together with the people of Judah. They will come weeping and seeking the Lord their God.They will ask the way to Jerusalem and will start back home again. They will bind themselves to the Lord with an eternal covenant that will never be forgotten.“ My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray and turned them loose in the mountains. They have lost their way and can’t remember how to get back to the sheepfold.

For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

As it is written in the Scriptures,‘ They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.

But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep.My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

There is a wide open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open:“ I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.

But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

But he led his own people like a flock of sheep, guiding them safely through the wilderness.He kept them safe so they were not afraid; but the sea covered their enemies.

For I will bring them from the north and from the distant corners of the earth. I will not forget the blind and lame, the expectant mothers and women in labor. A great company will return!Tears of joy will stream down their faces, and I will lead them home with great care. They will walk beside quiet streams and on smooth paths where they will not stumble. For I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my oldest child.

Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains.

And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
