Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

But we behold him who hath been made a little lower than the angels, even Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every man.

but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.

and killed the Prince of life; whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure:Then said I, Lo, I am come( In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein( the which are offered according to the law),then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.

I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin.

even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
