For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it back.

The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life— only to take it up again.

The reason my Father loves me is that I give up my life. But I will take it back again.

For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.

“ The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again.

This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again.

“ Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.

Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

This is why the Father loves Me, because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again.

“ I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back. This commandment I received from My Father.”

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of His suffering death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off from the land of the living For the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due?And His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the plunder with the strong, Because He poured out His life unto death, And was counted with wrongdoers; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the wrongdoers.

just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love.If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

“ Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.

Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.“ Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The Lord was pleased for His righteousness’ sake To make the Law great and glorious.

Then a matter of dispute developed on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purification.

I glorified You on the earth by accomplishing the work which You have given Me to do.And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.
