我知道在我離開以後，凶惡的豺狼將進入你們中間，不會顧惜羊群。

做執事的也一樣，必須莊重，不一口兩舌，不酗酒，不貪圖不正當的利益，

不酗酒、不好鬥；反要謙和，不爭吵、不貪財，

「你們要提防假先知。他們披著羊皮來到你們這裡，裡面卻是凶殘的狼。

你們應當牧養你們中間神的羊群，要按神的意思照顧他們，不是出於勉強，而是出於甘心；也不是出於貪財，而是出於樂意；

「看哪，我差派你們出去，就像把羊送進狼群中，所以你們要像蛇那樣聰明，像鴿子那樣純潔。
