No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.

“ I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me,as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. I lay down My life for the sheep.

He protects His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in the fold of His garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.

I will appoint over them a single shepherd, My servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus— the great Shepherd of the sheep— with the blood of the everlasting covenant,

For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; He will guide them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life— a ransom for many.”

My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances, and keep My statutes and obey them.

This is why the Father loves Me, because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again.No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from My Father.”

And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

He will stand and shepherd them in the strength of Yahweh, in the majestic name of Yahweh His God. They will live securely, for then His greatness will extend to the ends of the earth.

He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works.

We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.

“ For this is what the Lord God says: See, I Myself will search for My flock and look for them.As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for My flock. There they will lie down in a good grazing place; they will feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.I will tend My flock and let them lie down.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.“ I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bandage the injured, and strengthen the weak, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will shepherd them with justice.

I did not bring you any of the flock torn by wild beasts; I myself bore the loss. You demanded payment from me for what was stolen by day or by night.There I was— the heat consumed me by day and the frost by night, and sleep fled from my eyes.
