When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him,“ Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”

但這並不是說神的話語落了空，因為由以色列所生的，並不都是以色列人；

不被耶和華算為有罪、心裡沒有詭詐的人，是蒙福的！

神必然善待以色列，善待那些心裡純潔的人。

於是耶穌對信他的猶太人說：「你們如果住在我的話語中，就真是我的門徒了，

他們是以色列人：兒子的名份、榮耀、諸約、所賜的律法、禮儀、各樣應許，都是他們的；

在他們口中找不出虛假；他們是毫無瑕疵的。

所以，你們要脫去一切惡毒、一切詭詐、偽善、嫉妒，以及一切的誹謗，

實際上，我們才是受過割禮的人，就是藉著神的靈事奉，在基督耶穌裡誇耀，不依靠肉體的人。

他們回答說：「亞伯拉罕是我們的父！」耶穌說：「如果你們是亞伯拉罕的兒女，就會做亞伯拉罕所做的事。

其實外表上做猶太人的，並不是猶太人；外表上、肉身上的割禮，也不是割禮。然而，在內心做猶太人的才是猶太人；同樣，內心的割禮才是割禮——不是靠著律法條文而是靠著聖靈；這樣的人得到的稱讚不是從人來的，而是從神來的。

他沒有犯過罪，在他口中也找不出詭詐；
