As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. (niv)

Philip said,“ Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” (niv)

“ I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said,‘ Here am I, here am I.’ (niv)

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.“ Come, follow me,” Jesus said,“ and I will send you out to fish for people.”At once they left their nets and followed him.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, (niv)

When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip,“ Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” (niv)

They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request.“ Sir,” they said,“ we would like to see Jesus.” (niv)

We love because he first loved us. (niv)

This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing. (niv)

Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; (niv)

Philip answered him,“ It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” (niv)

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (niv)

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. (niv)
