And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which, when translated, is Peter).

And he brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas.” Cephas means Peter, or Rock.

Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said,“ Your name is Simon, son of John— but you will be called Cephas”( which means“ Peter”).

He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas( which is by interpretation, Peter).

and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

他們既喫了早飯，耶穌就對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你深愛我、比愛這些更深麼？』彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，是的；你知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你餵養我的羔羊。』耶穌第二次又對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你深愛我麼？』彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，是的；你知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你牧養我的小羊。』耶穌第三次對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你愛我麼？』彼得因耶穌第三次對他說『你愛我麼？』就憂愁，對耶穌說：『主啊，你知道一切，知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你餵養我的小羊。』

或保羅、或亞波羅、或磯法、或世界、或活、或死、或現在的、或將來的、全是你們的；

我說的是：你們各人說：「我是宗保羅的」，「我是宗亞波羅的」，「我是宗磯法的」，「我是宗基督的」。

又知道了主所賜給我的恩，那些有名望的柱石、雅各、磯法、約翰、就伸出團契的右手來跟我和巴拿巴握手，叫我們到外國人中間去，而他們卻到受割禮的人那裏去。

耶穌回答他們說：『我不是揀選了你們十二個麼？你們中間竟有一個是魔鬼！』耶穌是指着加畧人西門的兒子猶大說的；因為這個人、十二人中的一個、將要把耶穌送官。

耶穌回答他說：『西門巴約拿，你有福啊，因為不是肉與血啓示了你，乃是我在天上的父啓示了你。我還告訴你，你是石頭彼得；在這磐石上我要建立我的教會，陰間的門戶必沒有力量勝過她。

西門彼得看見，就拜倒在耶穌膝前，說：『主啊，離開我，我是個罪人！』

耶穌自己呢、卻不將自己信託他們，因他深知萬人，又因為他不需要甚麼人給人作見證；他自己深知在人裏面的是甚麼。

十二使徒的名字是這幾個：第一個是稱彼得的西門，還有他的兄弟安得烈、西庇太的兒子雅各、和雅各的兄弟約翰、

難道我們沒有權利帶着信主的姊妹為妻、出入往來、像其餘的使徒與主的弟兄和磯法一樣麼？

怎樣現給磯法看見；然後給那十二位。

他設立了那十二個人：給西門起名叫彼得；

當時在一處的有西門彼得、和稱為雙生的多馬，有加利利的迦拿人拿但業、和西庇太的兩個兒子，另外還有兩個門徒。

耶穌見拿但業向自己那裏走來，就論到他說：『看哪，真是個以色列人，他裏面沒有詭詐的！』拿但業對耶穌說：『你從哪裏認識我呢？』耶穌回答他說：『腓力沒有呼叫你以前，你在無花果樹底下、我就看見你了。』

我不是指着你們眾人說的；我認識我所揀選的；但這是要應驗經上所說：「嚼我的餅的舉起腳跟來踢我」！

就是西門，他也稱他為彼得，還有他的兄弟安得烈、雅各和約翰、腓力和巴多羅買、
