他們就極力挽留他，說：「時候晚了，太陽已經平西了，請與我們一起住下吧！」耶穌就進去，與他們一起住下。

「所有勞苦和背負重擔的人哪，到我這裡來吧！我將使你們得到安息。你們當負起我的軛，向我學，因為我心地柔和、謙卑。這樣，你們就將尋得靈魂的安息。要知道，我的軛是容易負的，我的擔子是輕省的。」

愛我的，我就愛他們；切切尋找我的，必找到我。

拿旦業對他說：「拿撒勒還能出什麼好的嗎？」腓力說：「你來看吧！」

這樣，撒馬利亞人來到耶穌那裡的時候，請求他住在他們那裡。於是耶穌在那裡住了兩天。

凡是父賜給我的人，都會到我這裡來，而到我這裡來的人，我絕不丟棄，

看哪，我站在門口敲門。如果有人聽見我的聲音就開門，我就會進到他那裡，而且我與他、他與我，將要一同吃宴席。

保羅在自己租的房子裡住了整整兩年，所有來到他那裡的人，他都歡迎。他宣講神的國、教導有關主耶穌基督的事，滿有膽量、沒有攔阻。

不是加略人的那個猶大問耶穌：「主啊，怎麼會這樣呢？你為什麼要向我們顯明自己，而不向世人顯明呢？」耶穌回答說：「如果有人愛我，他就會遵守我的話語，我父也會愛他，而且我們將要來到他那裡，並且在他那裡安置我們的住處。
