他們極力挽留祂，說：「天快黑了，時候不早了，跟我們一同住宿吧。」耶穌就和他們一起進村住下。

「所有勞苦困乏、背負重擔的人啊，到我這裡來吧！我要賜給你們安息。我心柔和謙卑，你們要負我的軛，向我學習，這樣你們的心靈就必得享安息。因為我的軛容易負，我的擔子很輕省。」

愛我的，我也愛他；懇切尋求我的，必能尋見。

拿但業說：「拿撒勒還會出什麼好東西？」腓力說：「你來看看吧！」

撒瑪利亞人來見耶穌，懇求祂留下來，祂就在那裡住了兩天。

凡父賜給我的人，必到我這裡來。到我這裡來的，我總不丟棄他。

看啊！我站在門外敲門，若有誰聞聲開門，我必進去，我與他，他與我，一同坐席吃飯。

後來，保羅租了一間房子，在那裡住了整整兩年，接待所有到訪的人。他勇敢地傳講上帝的國，教導有關主耶穌基督的事，沒有受到任何攔阻。

猶大，不是後來出賣耶穌的猶大，問耶穌：「主啊，你為什麼只向我們顯現而不向世人顯現呢？」耶穌回答說：「愛我的人必遵行我的道，我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裡與他同住。
