Jesus looked around and saw them following.“ What do you want?” he asked them. They replied,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”

Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”

Then Jesus turned around and saw them following. He asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi, where are you staying?” Rabbi means Teacher.

And Jesus turned, and beheld them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? And they said unto him, Rabbi( which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), where abidest thou?

When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them,“ What are you looking for?” They said to Him,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are You staying?”

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi,( which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Jesus turned around and saw them following and said to them,“ What do you want?” So they said to him,“ Rabbi”( which is translated Teacher),“ where are you staying?”

Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them,“ What are you looking for?” They said to him,“ Rabbi”( which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher),“ where are you staying?”

Then Nathanael exclaimed,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God— the King of Israel!”

Once more he asked them,“ Who are you looking for?” And again they replied,“ Jesus the Nazarene.”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

They found him on the other side of the lake and asked,“ Rabbi, when did you get here?”

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus.“ Rabbi,” he said,“ we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

But Ruth replied,“ Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

paid a visit to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee. They said,“ Sir, we want to meet Jesus.”

So John’s disciples came to him and said,“ Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.”

When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name.“ Zacchaeus!” he said.“ Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”

They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called‘ Rabbi.’“ Don’t let anyone call you‘ Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.

Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.

“ Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her.“ Who are you looking for?” She thought he was the gardener.“ Sir,” she said,“ if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”“ Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out,“ Rabboni!”( which is Hebrew for“ Teacher”).

The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.

Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home!

When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him,“ What do you want me to do for you?”“ Lord,” he said,“ I want to see!”

After John’s disciples left, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds.“ What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind?Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people who wear beautiful clothes and live in luxury are found in palaces.Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet.John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say,‘ Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way before you.’

Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.

A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them,

So Peter went down and said,“ I’m the man you are looking for. Why have you come?”

At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind:“ Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

Tell me, my love, where are you leading your flock today? Where will you rest your sheep at noon? For why should I wander like a prostitute among your friends and their flocks?If you don’t know, O most beautiful woman, follow the trail of my flock, and graze your young goats by the shepherds’ tents.

Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.

The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him. But Jesus sent him home, saying,

So I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. Now tell me why you sent for me.”

“ So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

How happy your people must be! What a privilege for your officials to stand here day after day, listening to your wisdom!
