Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them,“ What do you seek?” They said to Him,“ Rabbi”( which is to say, when translated, Teacher),“ where are You staying?”

Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”

Then Jesus turned around and saw them following. He asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi, where are you staying?” Rabbi means Teacher.

And Jesus turned, and beheld them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? And they said unto him, Rabbi( which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), where abidest thou?

When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them,“ What are you looking for?” They said to Him,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are You staying?”

Nathanael answered and said to Him,“ Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Then He asked them again,“ Whom are you seeking?” And they said,“ Jesus of Nazareth.”

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him,“ Rabbi, when did You come here?”

This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

But Ruth said:“ Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.

Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying,“ Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him,“ Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men,‘ Rabbi, Rabbi.’But you, do not be called‘ Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.

Jesus said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him,“ Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”Jesus said to her,“ Mary!” She turned and said to Him,“ Rabboni!”( which is to say, Teacher).

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,saying,“ What do you want Me to do for you?” He said,“ Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John:“ What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts.But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.This is he of whom it is written:‘ Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her.

Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them,

Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said,“ Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?”

And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

( TO HER BELOVED): Tell me, O you whom I love, Where you feed your flock, Where you make it rest at noon. For why should I be as one who veils herself By the flocks of your companions?THE BELOVED: If you do not know, O fairest among women, Follow in the footsteps of the flock, And feed your little goats Beside the shepherds’ tents.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?”

“ And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
