Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”

Then Jesus turned around and saw them following. He asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi, where are you staying?” Rabbi means Teacher.

Nathanael answered Him,“ Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel!”

He then asked them again,“ Whom are you seeking?” And they said,“ Jesus the Nazarene.”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him,“ Rabbi, when did You get here?”

this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

But Ruth said,“ Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

these people then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and were making a request of him, saying,“ Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.”

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him,“ Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

and personal greetings in the marketplaces, and being called Rabbi by the people.But as for you, do not be called Rabbi; for only One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters.

And she had a sister called Mary, who was also seated at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His word.

Jesus* said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Thinking that He was the gardener, she* said to Him,“ Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you put Him, and I will take Him away.”Jesus* said to her,“ Mary!” She turned and* said to Him in Hebrew,“ Rabboni!”( which means, Teacher).

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.

Blessed is the person who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at my doorposts.

And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He asked him,“ What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said,“ Lord, I want to regain my sight!”

When the messengers of John had left, He began to speak to the crowds about John:“ What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Those who are splendidly clothed and live in luxury are found in royal palaces!But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and one who is more than a prophet.This is the one about whom it is written:‘ Behold, I am sending My messenger ahead of You, Who will prepare Your way before You.’

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are those who hold on to her.

Now large crowds were going along with Him, and He turned and said to them,

Peter went down to the men and said,“ Behold, I am the one you are looking for; what is the reason for which you have come?”

And then the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him,“ Before a rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”

Tell me, you whom my soul loves, Where do you pasture your flock, Where do you have it lie down at noon? For why should I be like one who veils herself Beside the flocks of your companions?”“ If you yourself do not know, Most beautiful among women, Go out on the trail of the flock, And pasture your young goats By the tents of the shepherds.

One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.

But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might accompany Him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,

That is why I came without even raising any objection when I was sent for. So I ask, for what reason did you send for me?”

So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

Blessed are your men, and blessed are these servants of yours who stand before you continually and hear your wisdom!
