Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are you staying?”

Then Jesus turned around and saw them following. He asked,“ What do you want?” They said,“ Rabbi, where are you staying?” Rabbi means Teacher.

When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them,“ What are you looking for?” They said to Him,“ Rabbi”( which means“ Teacher”),“ where are You staying?”

They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request.“ Sir,” they said,“ we would like to see Jesus.” (niv)

they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called‘ Rabbi’ by others.“ But you are not to be called‘ Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. (niv)

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. (niv)

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. (niv)

Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. (niv)

Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him,“ What do you want me to do for you?”“ Lord, I want to see,” he replied. (niv)

After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John:“ What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind?If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces.But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.This is the one about whom it is written:“‘ I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ (niv)

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. (niv)

Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: (niv)

Peter went down and said to the men,“ I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?” (niv)

The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him:“ Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” (niv)

Tell me, you whom I love, where you graze your flock and where you rest your sheep at midday. Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your friends?If you do not know, most beautiful of women, follow the tracks of the sheep and graze your young goats by the tents of the shepherds. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. (niv)

The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, (niv)

So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?” (niv)

So he got up and went to his father.“ But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. (niv)

How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! (niv)
