You women, hear the Lord’ s message. Listen to what he’s saying. Teach your daughters how to mourn for the dead. Teach one another a song of sadness.

妇女们哪，你们当听耶和华的话，领受他口中的言语；又当教导你们的儿女举哀，各人教导邻舍唱哀歌。

妇女们哪，当听耶和华的话，领受他口中的言语；当教导你们的女儿举哀，各人教导女伴唱哀歌。

妇人啊，你们要听耶和华的话，接受祂的教诲；你们要教导女儿哀哭，教导邻居唱挽歌。

先知曰、維爾眾女、耶和華之言、宜傾耳以聽焉、當令爾女舉哀、鄰里哭泣。

先知曰、惟爾眾婦、當聽主言、傾耳聽其口之語、當教爾女以舉哀、彼此相誨以謳哀歌、

Now, you women, hear the word of the Lord; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.

Hear, O women, the word of the Lord, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a lament, and each to her neighbor a dirge.

Listen, you women, to the words of the Lord; open your ears to what he has to say. Teach your daughters to wail; teach one another how to lament.

Now hear the word of the LORD, you women. Pay attention to the words from his mouth. Teach your daughters a lament and one another a dirge,

Yet hear the word of Jehovah, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.

Now hear the word of the Lord, you women. Pay attention to the word of His mouth. Teach your daughters a lament and one another a dirge,

I said,“ So now, you wailing women, hear what the LORD says. Open your ears to the words from his mouth. Teach your daughters this mournful song, and each of you teach your neighbor this lament.

Yet hear Yahweh’s word, you women. Let your ear receive the word of his mouth. Teach your daughters wailing, and everyone teach her neighbor a lamentation.

Do what he teaches you to do. Keep his words in your heart.

A large number of people followed Jesus. Some were women whose hearts were filled with sorrow. They cried loudly because of him.Jesus turned and said to them,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me. Weep for yourselves and for your children.The time will come when you will say,‘ Blessed are the women who can’t have children! Blessed are those who never gave birth or nursed babies!’It is written,“‘ The people will say to the mountains,“ Fall on us!” They’ll say to the hills,“ Cover us!” ’( Hosea 10:8)

You women who are so contented, pay attention to me. You who feel so secure, listen to what I have to say.You feel secure now. But in a little over a year you will tremble with fear. The grape harvest will fail. There won’t be any fruit.So tremble, you contented women. Tremble with fear, you who feel so secure. Take off your fine clothes. Wrap yourselves in rags.Beat your chests to show how sad you are. The pleasant fields have been destroyed. The fruitful vines have dried up.My people’s land is overgrown with thorns and bushes. Mourn for all the houses that were once filled with joy. Cry over this city that used to be full of wild parties.

The Lord rules over all. He says,“ Here is something I want you to think about. Send for the women who mourn for the dead. Send for the most skilled among them.”Let them come quickly and weep for us. Let them cry until tears flow from our eyes. Let them weep until water pours out of our eyes.

The Lord continues,“ The women in Zion are very proud. They walk along with their noses in the air. They tease men with their eyes. They sway their hips as they walk along. Little chains jingle on their ankles.

The Lord will make mere youths their leaders. Children will rule over them.
