Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.

I wish I had somewhere to go in the desert where a traveler could stay! Then I could leave my people. I could get away from them. All of them commit adultery by worshiping other gods. They aren’t faithful to the Lord.

Oh that I had in the desert a travelers’ lodging place, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, a company of treacherous men.

Oh, that I could go away and forget my people and live in a travelers’ shack in the desert. For they are all adulterers— a pack of treacherous liars.

If only I had a traveler’s lodging place in the wilderness, I would abandon my people and depart from them, for they are all adulterers, a solemn assembly of treacherous people.

( 9: 1) I wish I had a lodging place in the desert where I could spend some time like a weary traveler. Then I would desert my people and walk away from them because they are all unfaithful to God, a congregation of people that has been disloyal to him.

他們咒詛、撒謊、兇殺、偷竊、通姦，為所欲為，血案纍纍。

他們都是通姦之徒，就像熱烘烘的烤爐，從揉麵到麵團發起，烤餅的人不用挑爐火。

你的弟兄和家人都背叛了你，與你作對。任他們甜言蜜語，你不要相信。

耶和華啊，每次我與你爭論，都顯明你是對的。然而，我還是對你的公正有所不解：為什麼惡人總是得勢？為什麼詭詐之人反而生活安逸？

我寄居在米設和基達的人當中有禍了！我住在憎惡和平的人當中太久了。我愛和平，但我倡導和平的時候，他們卻要戰爭。

他們對耶和華不忠，所生的是私生子，他們和他們的田地必在朔日被吞噬。

猶大人不忠貞，在以色列和耶路撒冷做了可憎的事，他們娶信奉外邦神明的女子為妻，褻瀆了耶和華所愛的聖所。

可是，你們卻如亞當一樣背約，以詭詐待我。

你們這些對主不忠的人啊，難道還不明白與世俗為友就是與上帝爲敵嗎？所以，凡是與世俗為友的，都是上帝的敵人。

我真悲慘！就像夏天的果子已被收盡，葡萄已被摘淨，找不到一串可吃的，尋不見我心中渴望的初熟無花果。虔敬人已從大地上滅絕，世間再沒有正直人。人人伺機殺人流血，用網羅獵取自己的弟兄。他們善於作惡。領袖和審判官索要賄賂，顯貴袒露心中的惡慾，朋比為奸。他們當中最好的不過是蒺藜，最正直的也不過是荊棘籬笆。你們的守望者所說的日子，就是你們受懲罰的日子已經來到。你們必驚慌失措。不要相信鄰居，不要信賴朋友，即使對你懷中的妻子也要守口如瓶。因為兒子藐視父親，女兒與母親作對，媳婦與婆婆作對；家人之間反目成仇。至於我，我要仰望耶和華，等候拯救我的上帝；我的上帝必垂聽我的祈求。

她的先知是狂妄詭詐之徒，她的祭司褻瀆聖殿，違背律法。

啊，但願我能像鴿子展翅飛去，得享安息。我要飛到遠方，住在曠野。（細拉）我要趕快躲進避難所，避過暴雨狂風。

有人與繼母通姦，羞辱父親，有人姦污經期不潔的婦女，有人與鄰居的妻子幹出可憎之事，有人玷污自己的兒媳婦，有人姦污自己的同父姊妹。
