执迷不悟，随从他们祖先的教导去供奉巴力。”

只隨從自己頑梗的心行事，照他們列祖所教訓的隨從眾巴力。」

反隨從自己頑梗的心行事，照他們祖先所教訓的隨從諸巴力。」

執迷不悟，隨從他們祖先的教導去供奉巴力。」

只隨從自己心意之頑強，隨從眾巴力，就是他們列祖所教導他們行的。

惟徇己心之剛愎、從諸巴力、即其祖所教者、

乃縱私欲崇事巴力、效祖之尤。

放縱私欲、傚法其祖、崇拜巴力、

Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.”

Instead, they have done what their stubborn hearts wanted them to do. They have worshiped the gods that are named Baal. They have done what their people have taught them to do through the years.”

but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.

but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them,”

他們卻不聽從，也不側耳而聽，竟隨從自己的計謀和頑梗的惡心去行，不進反退。

那時，人必稱耶路撒冷為耶和華的寶座；萬國聚集在那裏，為耶和華的名來到耶路撒冷，他們必不再隨從自己頑梗的惡心行事。

在猶太教中，我比本國許多同輩的人更激進，為我祖宗的傳統更熱心。

因為，他們雖然知道上帝，卻不把他當作上帝榮耀他，也不感謝他。他們的思想變為虛妄，無知的心昏暗了。他們自以為聰明，反成了愚昧，將不能朽壞之上帝的榮耀變為偶像，仿照必朽壞的人、飛禽、走獸、爬蟲的形像。所以，上帝任憑他們隨着心裏的情慾行污穢的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身體。

你們知道，你們得以從你們祖先傳下來虛妄的行為中救贖出來，不是靠着會朽壞的金銀等物，

不要效法你們的祖先。從前的先知呼叫他們說：『萬軍之耶和華如此說，當回轉離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽，也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。你們的祖先在哪裏呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？

所以我這樣說，且在主裏鄭重地說，你們行事為人，不要再像外邦人存虛妄的心而活。他們心地昏昧，因自己無知，心裏剛硬而與上帝所賜的生命隔絕了。既然他們已經麻木，就放縱情慾，貪婪地行種種污穢的事。

祭司從來不問：『耶和華在哪裏呢？』傳講律法的不認識我，官長違背我，先知藉巴力說預言，隨從無益的東西。」

你怎能說：『我沒有玷污，沒有隨從巴力』？看看你在谷中所做的，思想你自己的所作所為；你是快行的獨峯駝，狂奔亂闖。

我們從前也都生活在他們當中，放縱肉體的私慾，隨着肉體和心中的意念去做，和別人一樣，生來就是該受懲罰的人。

耶和華見人在地上罪大惡極，終日心裏所想的盡都是惡事，

我們定要照我們口中所說的一切話去做，向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，按着我們與我們祖先、君王、官長在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上素常所做的一樣；因為那時我們得以吃飽、享福樂，並未遇見災禍。
