谁有智慧明白这事呢？谁曾受过耶和华的指教可以讲解这事呢？为什么这片土地被蹂躏，变得荒凉、杳无人迹？

谁是智慧人可以解明这事？耶和华的口向谁说过，以致他可以传讲这事？为什么这地被毁坏，像旷野般荒凉，无人经过呢？

誰是智慧人可以明白這事？永恆主的口向誰說過，使他可以傳說：遍地為甚麼滅沒、荒廢像野地，無人經過呢？

孰為智者、克明斯事、耶和華與誰言、使之宣告、斯土何為被燬遭焚、有若曠野、無人經之、

遍地蕭條、恍若沙漠、人蹤罕至、焉得哲人、蒙予啟示、而言其故。

誰為智者、能明此事、誰蒙主諭、能宣示國緣何而滅亡、地緣何而焚燬、成如沙漠、無人來往、

Who is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?

Who is wise enough to understand these things? Who has been taught by the Lord? Who can explain them? Why has the land been destroyed so completely? Why has it become like a desert that no one can go across?

Who is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the Lord spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?

Who is wise enough to understand all this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it to others? Why has the land been so ruined that no one dares to travel through it?

Who is the person wise enough to understand this? Who has the LORD spoken to, that he may explain it? Why is the land destroyed and scorched like a wilderness, so no one can pass through?

Who is the wise person who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land destroyed, laid waste like the desert, so that no one passes through?

Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one can pass through?

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken, that he may declare it? wherefore is the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that none passeth through?

Who is the man wise enough to understand this? Who has the Lord spoken to, that he may explain it? Why is the land destroyed and scorched like a wilderness, so no one can pass through?

Who[ is] the wise man, that may understand this? and[ who is he] to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth[ and] is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?

I said,“ Who is wise enough to understand why this has happened? Who has a word from the LORD that can explain it? Why does the land lie in ruins? Why is it as scorched as a desert through which no one travels?”

Who is wise enough to understand this? Who is he to whom the mouth of Yahweh has spoken, that he may declare it? Why has the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?

谁是智慧人？可以明白这些事；谁是通达人？可以知道这一切。因为，耶和华的道是正直的；义人必在其中行走，罪人却在其上跌倒。

凡有智慧的，必在这些事上留心，也必思想耶和华的慈爱。

使肥地变为碱地；这都因其间居民的罪恶。

这殿虽然甚高，将来经过的人必惊讶、嗤笑，说：‘耶和华为何向这地和这殿如此行呢？’人必回答说：‘是因此地的人离弃领他们列祖出埃及地之耶和华他们的神，去亲近别神，侍奉敬拜他，所以耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”

“你将这一切的话指示这百姓。他们问你说：‘耶和华为什么说，要降这大灾祸攻击我们呢？我们有什么罪孽呢？我们向耶和华我们的神犯了什么罪呢？’你就对他们说：‘耶和华说：因为你们列祖离弃我，随从别神，侍奉敬拜，不遵守我的律法，而且你们行恶比你们列祖更甚；因为各人随从自己顽梗的恶心行事，甚至不听从我，所以我必将你们从这地赶出，直赶到你们和你们列祖素不认识的地。你们在那里必昼夜侍奉别神，因为我必不向你们施恩。’”

其中的先知同谋背叛，如咆哮的狮子抓撕掠物。他们吞灭人民，抢夺财宝，使这地多有寡妇。其中的祭司强解我的律法，亵渎我的圣物，不分别圣的和俗的，也不使人分辨洁净的和不洁净的，又遮眼不顾我的安息日；我也在他们中间被亵慢。其中的首领仿佛豺狼抓撕掠物，杀人流血，伤害人命，要得不义之财。其中的先知为百姓用未泡透的灰抹墙，就是为他们见虚假的异象，用谎诈的占卜，说：‘主耶和华如此说’，其实耶和华没有说。国内众民一味地欺压，惯行抢夺，亏负困苦穷乏的，背理欺压寄居的。我在他们中间寻找一人重修墙垣，在我面前为这国站在破口防堵，使我不灭绝这国，却找不着一个。所以我将恼恨倒在他们身上，用烈怒的火灭了他们，照他们所行的报应在他们头上。这是主耶和华说的。”

百姓若说：‘耶和华我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃耶和华，在你们的地上侍奉外邦神，也必照样在不属你们的地上侍奉外邦人。’”当传扬在雅各家，报告在犹大说：

许多国的民要经过这城，各人对邻舍说：‘耶和华为何向这大城如此行呢？’他们必回答说：‘是因离弃了耶和华他们神的约，侍奉敬拜别神。’”

你们的后代，就是以后兴起来的子孙，和远方来的外人，看见这地的灾殃，并耶和华所降与这地的疾病，又看见遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火迹，没有耕种，没有出产，连草都不生长，好像耶和华在忿怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样。所看见的人，连万国人，都必问说：‘耶和华为何向此地这样行呢？这样大发烈怒是什么意思呢？’人必回答说：‘是因这地的人离弃了耶和华他们列祖的神，领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约，去侍奉敬拜素不认识的别神，是耶和华所未曾给他们安排的。所以耶和华的怒气向这地发作，将这书上所写的一切咒诅都降在这地上。耶和华在怒气、忿怒、大恼恨中将他们从本地拔出来，扔在别的地上，像今日一样。’

念这书上预言的和那些听见又遵守其中所记载的，都是有福的，因为日期近了。

惟愿他们有智慧，能明白这事，肯思念他们的结局。

你们看见他们所行所为的，得了安慰，就知道我在耶路撒冷中所行的并非无故。这是主耶和华说的。”

“你们看见先知但以理所说的‘那行毁坏可憎的’站在圣地（读这经的人须要会意）。
