Why then have these people turned away? Why does Jerusalem always turn away? They cling to deceit; they refuse to return.

Then why have the people of Jerusalem turned away from me? Why do they always turn away? They keep on telling lies. They refuse to come back to me.

Why then has this people turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.

Then why do these people stay on their self destructive path? Why do the people of Jerusalem refuse to turn back? They cling tightly to their lies and will not turn around.

Why have these people turned away? Why is Jerusalem always turning away? They take hold of deceit; they refuse to return.

Why has this people, Jerusalem, Turned away in continual apostasy? They hold on to deceit, They refuse to return.

Why has this people slidden back, Jerusalem, in a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return.

Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

You live in a world of deception. In their deception they refuse to know Me. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Lord, don’t Your eyes look for faithfulness? You have struck them, but they felt no pain. You finished them off, but they refused to accept discipline. They made their faces harder than rock, and they refused to return.

But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they closed their ears so they could not hear.

He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself, or say,“ Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”

Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit. Therefore they have grown powerful and rich.

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but enjoyed unrighteousness.

They say to the seers,“ Do not see,” and to the prophets,“ Do not prophesy the truth to us. Tell us flattering things. Prophesy illusions.

My people are bent on turning from Me. Though they call to Him on high, He will not exalt them at all.

And you are not willing to come to Me so that you may have life.

Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn cow. Can the Lord now shepherd them like a lamb in an open meadow?

But hold on to what you have until I come.

but test all things. Hold on to what is good.

Can a young woman forget her jewelry or a bride her wedding sash? Yet My people have forgotten Me for countless days.

But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Yet they didn’t listen or pay attention but followed their own advice and according to their own stubborn, evil heart. They went backward and not forward.Since the day your ancestors came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent all My servants the prophets to you time and time again.However, they wouldn’t listen to Me or pay attention but became obstinate; they did more evil than their ancestors.

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

The Lord announced to me,“ Unfaithful Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say: Return, unfaithful Israel. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in My love. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God. You have scattered your favors to strangers under every green tree and have not obeyed My voice. This is the Lord’s declaration.“ Return, you faithless children”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ for I am your master, and I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.
