Listen— the cry of my dear people from a faraway land,“ Is the LORD no longer in Zion, her King not within her?” Why have they angered me with their carved images, with their worthless foreign idols?

听啊！我同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的女子”）的呼救声，从遥远之地传来：“耶和华不在锡安吗？锡安的王不在其中吗？”“他们为什么以自己雕刻的偶像，和列国虚无的偶像，来惹我发怒呢？”

聽啊，我子民的呼救聲，從遼闊之地而來，說：『永恆主不在錫安麼？錫安的王不在其中麼？』永恆主說：『他們為甚麼以他們的雕像、外人虛無的神、來惹我發怒呢？』

有我民女哀號之聲、來自遠方、曰、耶和華不在錫安乎、厥王不在其中乎、曰、彼胡為以雕像、及異邦之虛物、激我怒耶、

我民號呼於遠方曰、大君耶和華、豈非護衛郇邑者哉耶和華曰、彼崇事偶像及異邦人無靈之物、干我震怒。

我民哀號之聲、自遠方而來曰、主豈不在郇乎、郇豈無君乎、主曰、彼何崇拜偶像、及異邦虛無之神、干犯我怒哉、

Listen to the cry of my people from a land far away:“ Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King no longer there?”“ Why have they aroused my anger with their images, with their worthless foreign idols?”

Listen to the cries of my people from a land far away. They cry out,“ Isn’t the Lord in Zion? Isn’t its King there anymore?” The Lord says,“ Why have they made me so angry by worshiping their wooden gods? Why have they made me angry with their worthless statues of gods from other lands?”

Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people from the length and breadth of the land:“ Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King not in her?”“ Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved images and with their foreign idols?”

Listen to the weeping of my people; it can be heard all across the land.“ Has the Lord abandoned Jerusalem?” the people ask.“ Is her King no longer there?”“ Oh, why have they provoked my anger with their carved idols and their worthless foreign gods?” says the Lord.

Behold, listen! The cry of the daughter of my people from a distant land:“ Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King not within her?”“ Why have they provoked Me with their carved images, with foreign idols?”

Listen! The voice, The cry of the daughter of my people From a far country:“ Is not the Lord in Zion? Is not her King in her?”“ Why have they provoked Me to anger With their carved images— With foreign idols?”

Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people from a land that is very far off: is not Jehovah in Zion? is not her King in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with foreign vanities?

Listen— the cry of my dear people from a far away land,“ Is the Lord no longer in Zion, her King not within her?” Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved images, with their worthless foreign idols?

Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country:[ Is] not the LORD in Zion?[ is] not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images,[ and] with strange vanities?

I hear my dear people crying out throughout the length and breadth of the land. They are crying,‘ Is the LORD no longer in Zion? Is her divine King no longer there?’” The LORD answers,“ Why then do they provoke me to anger with their images, with their worthless foreign idols?”

Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people from a land that is very far off:“ Isn’t Yahweh in Zion? Isn’t her King in her?”“ Why have they provoked me to anger with their engraved images, and with foreign idols?”

Then the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah and asked him,“ What did these men say, and where did they come to you from?” Hezekiah replied,“ They came to me from a distant country, from Babylon.”

They are coming from a distant land, from the farthest horizon— the LORD and the weapons of his wrath— to destroy the whole country.

Warn the nations: Look! Proclaim to Jerusalem: Those who besiege are coming from a distant land; they raise their voices against the cities of Judah.They have her surrounded like those who guard a field, because she has rebelled against me. This is the LORD’s declaration.

And you, devastated one, what are you doing that you dress yourself in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, that you enhance your eyes with makeup? You beautify yourself for nothing. Your lovers reject you; they intend to take your life.I hear a cry like a woman in labor, a cry of anguish like one bearing her first child. The cry of Daughter Zion gasping for breath, stretching out her hands:“ Woe is me, for my life is weary because of the murderers!”

I will scatter them among the nations that they and their ancestors have not known. I will send a sword after them until I have finished them off.”

Let Israel celebrate its Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.

I will pardon their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, for the LORD dwells in Zion.

For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King. He will save us.

Have you completely rejected Judah? Do you detest Zion? Why do you strike us with no hope of healing for us? We hoped for peace, but there was nothing good; for a time of healing, but there was only terror.

Cry out and sing, citizen of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is among you in his greatness.”

The LORD reigns forever; Zion, your God reigns for all generations. Hallelujah!

For there will be a day when watchmen will call out in the hill country of Ephraim,“ Come, let’s go up to Zion, to the LORD our God!”

Why have these people turned away? Why is Jerusalem always turning away? They take hold of deceit; they refuse to return.I have paid careful attention. They do not speak what is right. No one regrets his evil, asking,‘ What have I done?’ Everyone has stayed his course like a horse rushing into battle.

Oh sinful nation, people weighed down with iniquity, brood of evildoers, depraved children! They have abandoned the LORD; they have despised the Holy One of Israel; they have turned their backs on him.

But there will be a deliverance on Mount Zion, and it will be holy; the house of Jacob will dispossess those who dispossessed them.

“ Wake up, wake up; put on your strength, Zion! Put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer enter you.

They provoked his jealousy with different gods; they enraged him with detestable practices.They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had just arrived, which your ancestors did not fear.You ignored the Rock who gave you birth; you forgot the God who gave birth to you.When the LORD saw this, he despised them, angered by his sons and daughters.He said,“ I will hide my face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation— unfaithful children.They have provoked my jealousy with what is not a god; they have enraged me with their worthless idols. So I will provoke their jealousy with what is not a people; I will enrage them with a foolish nation.
