我們為甚麼靜坐不動呢？聚集攏來哦，我們好進入有堡壘的城，在那裏寂滅掉；因為永恆主我們的上帝命定我們寂滅，將毒苦水給我們喝，因為我們犯罪得罪了永恆主。

我儕靜坐何為乎、其會集而入鞏固之邑、隕亡於彼、我上帝耶和華飲我以毒水、使我隕亡、緣我干犯耶和華也、

先知告民曰、我儕坐此曷故、必會眾入城、在彼默默無語、我獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、使我嘗膽、無詞可述。

Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the Lord our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

“ Then the people will say,‘ Why should we wait here to die? Come, let’s go to the fortified towns and die there. For the Lord our God has decreed our destruction and has given us a cup of poison to drink because we sinned against the Lord.

The people say,“ Why are we just sitting here? Let us gather together inside the fortified cities. Let us at least die there fighting, since the LORD our God has condemned us to die. He has condemned us to drink the poison waters of judgment because we have sinned against him.

“ Why do we sit still? Assemble yourselves! Let’s enter into the fortified cities, and let’s be silent there; for Yahweh our God has put us to silence, and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against Yahweh.

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets:“ Behold, I will feed them with bitter food and give them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed this people with bitter food, and give them poisonous water to drink.

Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall!

But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said,‘ Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and the army of the Syrians.’ So we are living in Jerusalem.”

And David said to Abishai,“ Now Sheba the son of Bichri will do us more harm than Absalom. Take your lord’s servants and pursue him, lest he get himself to fortified cities and escape from us.”

They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink.

they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.

Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the Lord our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit,

And when one’s relative, the one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house,“ Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say,“ No”; and he shall say,“ Silence! We must not mention the name of the Lord.”

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord has said:‘ Among those who are near me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” And Aaron held his peace.

Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him;

I was mute and silent; I held my peace to no avail, and my distress grew worse.

But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.”

We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you.

And in his hand the priest shall have the water of bitterness that brings the curse.Then the priest shall make her take an oath, saying,‘ If no man has lain with you, and if you have not turned aside to uncleanness while you were under your husband’s authority, be free from this water of bitterness that brings the curse.But if you have gone astray, though you are under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself, and some man other than your husband has lain with you,then’( let the priest make the woman take the oath of the curse, and say to the woman)‘ the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh fall away and your body swell.May this water that brings the curse pass into your bowels and make your womb swell and your thigh fall away.’ And the woman shall say,‘ Amen, Amen.’“ Then the priest shall write these curses in a book and wash them off into the water of bitterness.And he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that brings the curse, and the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain.

For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter;

Now there were four men who were lepers at the entrance to the gate. And they said to one another,“ Why are we sitting here until we die?If we say,‘ Let us enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the camp of the Syrians. If they spare our lives we shall live, and if they kill us we shall but die.”
