彼行可惡之事、豈知恥乎、非也、毫不知恥、亦不赧顏、故必仆於仆者之中、我譴責之際、彼必顚躓、耶和華言之矣、

彼行可惡之事、豈有羞惡之心哉、恬不知羞、毫不懷慙、故我耶和華降災之時、必使傾圮、淪胥以亡。

彼行可惡之事、知慚愧乎、彼毫不慚愧、不羞恥、故必傾仆於傾仆者之中、我鑒察之時、必顛蹶、主言之矣、○

Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the Lord.

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你還是一副娼妓之臉，不顧羞恥。

他們行可憎之事，應當羞愧；然而他們卻一點也不覺得羞愧，也不知羞恥。因此，他們必與仆倒的人一同仆倒，我懲罰他們的時候，他們必跌倒。」這是耶和華說的。

看哪，這就是那不以神為保障的人，他只倚靠豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。

他們的臉色證明自己不正，他們述說自己像所多瑪一樣的罪惡，毫不隱瞞。他們有禍了！因為作惡自害。

勇士啊，你為何作惡自誇？神的慈愛是常存的。

伸冤報應在我，到了時候他們會失腳。因為他們遭難的日子近了，他們的厄運快要臨到。

耶和華在它中間是公義的，斷不做非義的事，每早晨顯明他的公義，無日不然；只是不義的人不知羞恥。

到了懲罰的日子，以法蓮必變為廢墟；我在以色列眾支派中，已指示將來必成的事。

那時，百姓如何，祭司也如何；僕人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；買主如何，賣主也如何；放債的如何，借貸的也如何；債主如何，欠債的也如何。

他們的結局就是滅亡。他們的神明是自己的肚腹；他們以自己的羞辱為光榮，專以地上的事為念。

日間你必跌倒，夜間先知也要與你一同跌倒；我要滅絕你的母親。我的百姓因無知識而滅亡。你拋棄知識，我也必拋棄你，使你不再作我的祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘記你的兒女。

其中的先知同謀背叛，如咆哮的獅子抓撕掠物。他們吞滅人命，搶奪財寶，使這地寡婦增多。其中的祭司曲解我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物，不分別聖與俗，也不使人分辨潔淨和不潔淨，又遮眼不顧我的安息日；在他們中間連我也被褻慢了。其中的領袖彷彿野狼抓撕掠物，流人的血，傷害人命，為得不義之財。其中的先知為他們粉刷，見虛假的異象，行謊詐的占卜，說：『主耶和華如此說』，其實耶和華並沒有說。這地的百姓慣行欺壓搶奪之事，虧負困苦和貧窮的人，欺壓寄居者，沒有公平。我在他們中間尋找一人重修城牆，在我面前為這地站在缺口上，使我不致滅絕它，卻連一個也找不着。所以我把憤怒傾倒在他們身上，用烈怒之火消滅他們，照他們所做的報應在他們頭上。這是主耶和華說的。」

這百姓還沒有歸向擊打他們的主，也沒有尋求萬軍之耶和華。耶和華在一日之間從以色列中剪除了頭與尾－棕樹枝與蘆葦－長老和顯要就是頭，以謊言教人的先知就是尾。因為引導這百姓的使他們走入迷途，被引導的都必被吞滅。所以，主不喜愛他們的青年，也不憐憫他們的孤兒和寡婦；因為他們都是褻瀆的，行惡的，並且各人的口都說愚妄的話。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣並未轉消；他的手依然伸出。
