彼行可惡之事、豈知恥乎、非也、毫不知恥、亦不赧顏、故必仆於仆者之中、我譴責之際、彼必顚躓、耶和華言之矣、

彼行可惡之事、豈有羞惡之心哉、恬不知羞、毫不懷慙、故我耶和華降災之時、必使傾圮、淪胥以亡。

彼行可惡之事、知慚愧乎、彼毫不慚愧、不羞恥、故必傾仆於傾仆者之中、我鑒察之時、必顛蹶、主言之矣、○

Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the Lord.

所以甘霖停止，春雨不降；你還是一副妓女的面孔（“面孔”原文作“額”），不顧羞恥。

耶和華說：“他們行了可憎的事，本應覺得羞愧，可是他們一點羞愧都沒有，恬不知恥。因此他們必仆倒在倒下的人中間，我懲罰他們的時候，他們必倒下來。”

“看哪！這就是那不以神為自己保障的人，他只倚靠自己豐盛的財富，以毀滅別人來加強自己的力量。”

他們面上的表情指證他們的不對；他們像所多瑪一般宣揚自己的罪惡，並不隱瞞；他們有禍了，因為他們自招禍害。

勇士啊！你為甚麼以作惡自誇呢？神的慈愛是常存的。

等到他們失足的時候，我要伸冤報應；因為他們遭遇災難的日子近了，那預備要臨到他們身上的事，必快快臨到。

耶和華在城中是公義的，決不行不義的事；他每日早晨都顯明公正，永不止息。不公義的人卻不知廉恥。

在責罰的日子，以法蓮必成為荒場。我要在以色列各支派中宣告一定會發生的事情。

人民和祭司，僕人和主人，婢女和主母，購買的和販賣的，借給人和向人借的，放債的和借債的，全都一樣被分散。

他們的結局是滅亡，他們的神是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞辱為榮耀，所思想的都是地上的事。

白天你要跌倒，晚上先知也必與你一同跌倒；我要毀滅你的母親。我的子民因無知識而滅亡；因為你拒絕了知識，我必拒絕你，不讓你作我的祭司；因為你忘掉了你神的律法，我也必忘記你的子孫。

其中的先知叛逆，像吼叫的獅子撕碎獵物；他們把人吞吃，搶奪財物和珍寶，使其中寡婦的數目增多。這地的祭司違反我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物；他們不分別聖俗，也不教導人分辨甚麼是潔淨的和不潔淨的，又掩目不理我的安息日，以致我在他們中間被褻瀆。其中的官長好像撕碎獵物的豺狼，流人的血，滅人的命，為要得不義之財。這地的先知用灰泥給他們粉刷牆壁，為他們見虛假的異象，行騙人的占卜，說：‘主耶和華這樣說’，其實當時耶和華並沒有說話。這地的人民常常欺壓人，慣行搶掠，虧待困苦窮乏的人，毫無公理地去欺壓寄居的人。我在他們中間尋找一人重修牆垣，在我面前為這地站在破口之處，使我不毀滅這地，我卻找不到一個。所以我把我的忿怒倒在他們身上，用我烈怒之火消滅他們，把他們所行的報應在他們的頭上。這是主耶和華的宣告。”

這人民還沒有回轉、歸向那擊打他們的萬軍之耶和華，也沒有尋求他。因此，耶和華在一日之間，必從以色列中剪除頭和尾、棕枝與蘆葦。長老和尊貴人就是頭；用謊言教導人的先知就是尾。因為那些領導這人民的，使他們走錯了路；那些被領導的，都必一片混亂。因此，主不喜歡他們的年輕人，也不憐恤他們的孤兒寡婦；因為他們各人都是不敬虔的，是邪惡的，各人的口都說愚昧的話。雖然這樣，耶和華的怒氣還沒有轉消，他的手仍然伸出。
