Do not trust in these deceptive words:‘ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

或曰、耶和華之殿、耶和華之殿、耶和華之殿即此、斯虛誕之詞、爾勿恃之、

有言虛誕者、三稱耶和華殿為可恃、爾勿信之。

有人曰、主之殿、主之殿、主之殿在此、可望不遭災、此言虛誕、爾勿信信或作恃之、

Do not trust in deceptive words and say,“ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord!”

Do not trust in lies. Do not say,‘ This is the temple of the Lord! This is the temple of the Lord! This is the temple of the Lord!’

But don’t be fooled by those who promise you safety simply because the Lord’s Temple is here. They chant,“ The Lord’s Temple is here! The Lord’s Temple is here!”

Do not trust deceitful words, chanting,“ This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD.”

Do not trust in deceptive words, saying,‘ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

Do not trust in these lying words, saying,‘ The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord are these.’

Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.

Do not trust deceitful words, chanting: This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.

Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD,[ are] these.

Stop putting your confidence in the false belief that says,“ We are safe! The temple of the LORD is here! The temple of the LORD is here! The temple of the LORD is here!”

Don’t trust in lying words, saying,‘ Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.’

Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say,“ Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.”

And do not presume to say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

“ On that day you shall not be put to shame because of the deeds by which you have rebelled against me; for then I will remove from your midst your proudly exultant ones, and you shall no longer be haughty in my holy mountain.

“ Send to all the exiles, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,

You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, putting to death souls who should not die and keeping alive souls who should not live, by your lying to my people, who listen to lies.

They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

“ Behold, you trust in deceptive words to no avail.Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say,‘ We are delivered!’— only to go on doing all these abominations?Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares the Lord.Go now to my place that was in Shiloh, where I made my name dwell at first, and see what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.

And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah,“ Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.

And when the people came to the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord here from Shiloh, that it may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”So the people sent to Shiloh and brought from there the ark of the covenant of the Lord of hosts, who is enthroned on the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, declares the Lord.’”
