耶利米啊，你將這番話告訴他們，他們也不會聽；你向他們呼籲，他們也不會回應。

“你要把這一切話告訴他們，他們卻不聽從你；你呼叫他們，他們也不回應。

『你要將這一切話告訴他們，雖則他們不聽從；你要呼喚他們，儘管他們不應；

爾將告以斯言、惟彼不聽、爾將呼之、惟彼不應、

上帝告先知曰、爾雖有命、民不聽從、爾雖招徠、民不應命。

爾耶利米以此言告之、彼仍不聽爾、爾招之來、彼仍不應爾、

“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.

“ Jeremiah, when you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not answer.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

“ Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

“ Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

Then the LORD said to me,“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.

“ You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

「耶和華如此說：你要站在耶和華殿的院內，對猶大所有城鎮的人，就是到耶和華的殿來禮拜的，傳講我所吩咐你的一切話，一字也不可刪減。

耶和華對我說：「不要說『我年輕』，因為我差遣你到誰那裏去，你都要去；我吩咐你說甚麼話，你都要說。

萬軍之耶和華說：我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

我命定你們歸於刀下，你們都要屈身被殺；因為我呼喚，你們不回應；我說話，你們不聽從；反倒做我眼中看為惡的事，選擇我所不喜悅的事。」

我來的時候，為何沒有人呢？我呼喚的時候，為何無人回應呢？我的膀臂豈是過短、不能救贖嗎？我豈無拯救之力嗎？看哪，我一斥責，海就乾了；我使江河變為曠野，其中的魚因無水腥臭，乾渴而死。

他說：「你去告訴這百姓說：『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不曉得。』要使這百姓心蒙油脂，耳朵發沉，眼睛昏花；恐怕他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裏明白，回轉過來，就得醫治。」

這些人厚着臉皮，心裏剛硬。我差你到他們那裏去，你要對他們說：『主耶和華如此說。』他們是悖逆之家，他們或聽，或不聽，必知道在他們中間有了先知。你，人子啊，雖有荊棘和蒺藜在你那裏，你又住在蠍子中間，總不要怕他們，也不要怕他們的話；他們雖是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他們的話，也不要因他們的臉色驚惶。他們或聽，或不聽，你只管將我的話告訴他們；他們是極其悖逆的。

「人子啊，我立你作以色列家的守望者，所以你要聽我口中的話，替我警戒他們。我何時指着惡人說：『他必要死』；你若不警戒他，也不勸告他，使他離開惡行，拯救他的性命，這惡人必死在罪孽之中；我卻要從你手裏討他的血債。

因為神一切的旨意，我並沒有退縮不傳給你們的。

他對我說：「人子啊，你要到以色列家那裏去，對他們傳講我的話。你奉差遣不是往那說話艱澀、言語難懂的民那裏，而是往以色列家去；你不是往那說話艱澀、言語難懂的許多民族那裏去，他們的話你不懂。然而，我若差你往他們那裏去，他們會聽從你。以色列家卻不肯聽從你，因為他們不肯聽從我；原來以色列全家是額頭堅硬、心裏剛愎的人。看哪，我使你的臉堅硬，對抗他們的臉；使你的額頭堅硬，對抗他們的額頭。我使你的額頭像金剛石，比火石更堅硬。他們雖是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他們，也不要因他們的臉色而驚惶。」他又對我說：「人子啊，我對你說的一切話，你心裏要領會，耳朵要聽。要到被擄的人，到你本國百姓那裏去，他們或聽，或不聽，你要對他們宣講，告訴他們這是主耶和華說的。」

他們要攻擊你，卻不能勝過你，因為我與你同在，要拯救你。這是耶和華說的。」
